My Favorite Outdoor Decor Ideas

It’s day three of Outdoor Decor Week! I hope you guys are enjoying this week as much as I am. But I gotta admit, it feels good to be inspired again. I was in such a creative funk there for a while (thank you quarantine) however, I feel like I’m finally coming out of that and it FEELS GOOD. This time of year is my favorite so much and it always makes me happy to decorate our outdoor spaces. I love sharing that with all of you and I hope this week is giving you a few ideas for your own home this summer! Anyway, today I wanted to take a look back at a couple of my all-time favorite outdoor decor ideas. These are all coming from some of my most popular summer outdoor decor ideas ever!

STYLE SUMMER PORCH WITH VINTAGE BIKE

This garden inspired summer porch is one of my favorite posts ever!! I did this one a few years ago, but I still love it. Plus that old vintage bike belonged to my sweet grandma, which makes this look even more special. I can’t wait to get that bike out of storage and use it again this summer. Check out the full post and lots more photos HERE.

VINTAGE CRIB ON THE BACK PATIO

Oh my sweet vintage crib–I love you so much. Do you guys remember this beauty?! I used that old crib in so many ways over the last few years for summer outdoor decor, but styling it outside was always my favorite. And believe it or not, it actually made a pretty comfortable little couch. I had a baby crib mattress under that quilt, so it was a great lounging spot! See the full post and more photos HERE.

CHALK PAINTED SWING MAKEOVER

This swing makeover is a bit more recent compared to my other favorites (I shared this project last year) but I wanted to include it in this post because it was such a great before and after project. This old wooden swing was literally headed for the dump when I decided to paint it. I still have it sitting in this exact spot and I LOVE it. Such a great transformation! See the full post HERE.

FARMHOUSE STYLE POTTING BENCH

Last but not least is my all-time favorite outdoor decor post EVER. Really, if I had to pick just one favorite from the last five years it would be this farmhouse style potting bench. I created this look in June 0f 2017 and it was definitely one of my post popular posts that year. Looking back at these photos makes me want to re-create this look just for the fun of it. I love every detail!! See the full post and more photos HERE.

Love all the decor! But that swing sure looks like an inviting spot for a nap! So pretty! The potting bench is nice too. The front porch with bike is so sweet! Do you put everything away in storage during the off season? Just curious. We live in a lot of dirt on 2.5 acres, and I have a lovely porch, but everything winds up dusty and leaves from trees all over. I just wondered if everyone stores their stuff during winter and gets it out in spring. We are in equine area, hence the dirt. But it’s peaceful and love the clip clop of passing hooves…guess it’s the price you pay for ranch life. Thx Sarah, hope you find a new home to be your fixer upper, it’s fun to watch you work on it.

that’s a great question Faith! I do store all of my outdoor decor during the winter months. Aside from the large furniture, like our patio set, which we leave out. But all of the outdoor pillows, pots, throws, and decor go into our shed every winter. PS: that ranch life of yours sounds lovely, despite the dirt! 🙂
