So I have good news to report from the SJB headquarters–I was finally able to do a little outdoor decorating this weekend. Whoot whoot! We actually had an impromptu garage sale Saturday and then yesterday I spent the entire day outside planting flowers and sprucing up our back patio area. It was SO much fun. And just what my soul needed after the weird creative slump I’ve been in lately. I have so many ideas brewing and I’m just excited to get all of my outdoor spaces ready for summertime. I decided to start with one of my favorite spots and I can’t wait to share it with you today!
So if you’ve been around for a while you might remember this vintage crib. I’ve used it in several different spots in our home, but I LOVE it on our back patio. This little space is the perfect size for the crib. And doesn’t it have a dreamy vibe? I wish I could hang out here all day drinking strawberry daiquiris and eating calorie free ice cream.
The cute little rattan lanterns actually have LED candles in them and they automatically turn on every evening. It’s so cool and the kids love them! And I couldn’t resist this woven outdoor throw blanket in that pretty shade of coral pink. You know I’ve been loving more color lately!
I absolutely love how this little area came together and it’s seriously the coziest spot. That vintage crib is surprisingly comfortable (I have a crib mattress under that quilt) so it’s a great spot to hang out and just relax. Maybe even enjoy a nice beverage. Or that ice cream we talked about. Anyway, I am SO excited to start sharing more outdoor decor. I have lots more coming, so stay tuned!! xo

That’s it I’m on my way to sit on your patio and have strawberry whatever to drink! This is so cute! Love that pot you found. Had that old look to it! My son put my glider on the porch sat. for me ,so I played with stuff for most of the day. You’re right so much fun!!!!! On my wat! Lol xoxo💗💗💗
haha sounds good Becky! I’m make a fresh pitcher! xoxo
It’s so cute! Makes me want to go work on my porch. I do have a question-do you leave the linens out all the time? We live in a windy area and my porch just gets so dirty all the time! I seem to spend more time cleaning the porch than I do cleaning the house.
I do leave it all out, I just grab everything when a storm blows it or who it rains. It’s a pain, but I love the comfort of having these cozy spaces outside so it’s worth it to me.
Not sure which is more beautiful, your patio decor or that view from there. Love them both!
ah thanks Linda, we are blessed with a great view here!
This looks amazing Sarah! I love the pops of color and the coziness!! Those lanterns are fabulous! I think I need a few of those for our patio!!

isn’t that a great rug, Vanessa?! I love it so much.
I love coral! Just got my granddaughter coral sandals. I had picked her up 4-5 summer dresses in coral colors…I love it in nail polish too!
So cute an comfy! Where did the solar lantern come from? I’d love a few of those…do they work well? How do you protect your fabric stuff if it rains? It’s a challenge I haven’t figured out a solution for…I throw drop cloths over stuff…wish it was more carefree then that. Enjoy!!!
Oh how fun! I bet she loves those sandals. The lanterns are from Target and yes the do work! They’re battery operated and they come on ever night. We love them! You can see them here: https://rstyle.me/n/dmt7yvb6hgf

Did you reinforce the vintage crib to support the weight of an adult? I can’t imagine it would hold up otherwise- if so is there a post about it?
