Morning sunshine!! I’m up early today, working away in a quiet house with a lovely cup of coffee. Are you an early riser? I did a poll in IG stories yesterday and about half the people who responded said they wake up early. I try to get up between 5:15 and 5:30 every day to get a jump start on work and it’s honestly become my favorite part of the day. My day just goes better when I wake up early and have time to myself. I’m also a fan of watching the sun rise, so that’s an added bonus. Anyway, enough rambling about that! Today I wanted to share my simple spring dining room. I also just got a new rug!
You might be noticing that something looks a little different in here. Well that’s because my beloved chair cushions are gone! It’s actually a long story, but they were ruined when we had our front door painted. Let’s just say the spray gun they were painting with had a little issue and black paint went everywhere. The cushions and the rug I had in the dining room were covered in little specks of black paint. I might get the cushions recovered, but for now we’re going without them.
My dining chairs are always out of stock, but I found them in stock HERE for a great price.
This new rug totally brightens up this room! I love the soft gray stripes. I got this from Target and it comes in several size options.
How cute is that little rattan bench? I love it!! PS: I’m still so happy with my painted mirror. I should have done that a long time ago. Check out this post for more info on that.
We’re bracing for a massive snow storm in Colorado over the next five days and I’m honestly not in the best mood about it. Snow this time of year is always the hardest for me. I just want spring! Flowers! Sunshine! Is that too much to ask after enduring cold weather since October?! Oy.
Well thanks for dropping by the blog today. I hope you enjoyed seeing my simple spring dining room and maybe got a few ideas for your own home! xoxo
WOW SARAH!!! This view is gorgeous 😍❤ 🙌
So much inspiration!
ah thank you so much Mary!! Thanks for dropping by. xo
I absolutely love that rug but we actually eat in our dinning room every night. With 4 kiddos it would only be pretty for a very short period of time.
I hear you! We very rarely eat in our dining room so hopefully this one will stay clean.
Love the pretty pink flowers, really brings in the look of spring! You could try fabric paint mixed with fabric medium and paint you chair cushions. Just a thought. Enjoy the nice weather, before the snow ❄️!
OH that’s a great idea, thanks Sheri!
It looks so light and airy!
Here in southern Pa we have been enjoying 65 degrees and above ! But, it’s a teaser and we’ll be back in the 40’s…
I wouldn’t be feeling good about snow either! Hope it melts quickly
I love that you are adding some color. I still vote for a little red!
Keep showing the baby chicks. They grow so fast!
Good Evening Sarah
Love the dining room! So beautiful…I keep telling my husband about you and he said not to get any ideas….lol.
Take care and God bless you and your family
haha love that!! Hope you have a great weekend Candy. xo
Love it all!! It looks great. I have that same rug only in the dusty rose color and got it on clearance for only $50!! I have it in my living room and it has held up well. What do you have rolled up in that cute cup in the tray on your dining table?
oh that’s a great find Gayle! Those are vintage cloth napkins rolled up in that white vase on the table. Love them!
Where did the rose florals come from in the Simple Spring Dining Room + New Rug post?
