Organize with Me! Organized Kitchen Cabinets {Vlog}

Simpe and organized farmhouse kitchen.

Wanna know what I’ve been up to lately?! You can probably guess by the title of today’s post–I’ve been ORGANIZING ALL THE THINGS. Yep, the decluttering/purging craze continues around here (I posted about it last week here). Now I’m moving on to organization in the kitchen. I’m certainly no pro, but I’m figuring it out as I go. It’s actually been a lot of fun–in a weird/nerdy kind of way. I even went to Target and bought an entire cart full of organizational bins, baskets, risers, etc. Honestly, I can say that was a first for me and I ended up spending a decent chunk of change once it was all said and done.

I put it all to good use when I organized kitchen cabinets, so it was worth it! I know a lot of you are doing the exact same thing right now, so I thought it would be fun to share a quick video of the whole organizing process from start to finish. You can check it out here:

Organization is something I don’t consider myself to be very good at, which is why you don’t see a lot of organizing posts here on the blog. But I’m learning as I go and it felt great to get this hot-mess-cabinet-situation resolved. It’s just a small space, but it’s an area I look at a zillion times a day and it really needed some attention. It’s still not perfect, but it’s a heck of a lot better than it was before! And I have to admit, organizing in little bite-sized chunks like this is actually kind of fun. It’s an instant-gratification kinda thing and doing these cabinets has me all excited to continue organizing other areas of our home.

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my organized kitchen cabinets! I hope this little blog maybe motivated you to get organizing in your own home. Now I’m off to tackle our refrigerator–wish me luck! xo

    This is my first time visiting with you I can clean like crazy however my organizational skills not so much. Most of our home is quite alright however I feel like an actual hoarder when it comes to my sewing/craft room. Watching you take things in small steps definitely looks doable. Thank you for inspiration!

    You did a great job! I love to organize so much that it borders a little on OCD and definitely a little bit nerdy🤓 But I LOVE it!! You’re right about the instant gratification! It’s a great feeling to step back and look at everything all nice and neat. The hard part is getting everyone at home to keep it that way! Lol
    P.S. I’m loving the VLOGs!!

    First, you’re just the cutest. Love all the items you purchased and how you are incorporating them into your home. I may need to pick up one of those toy bins. Not for the kiddos, but for our pups.

    I liked this blog post, especially with the video. I am an organized person but everyone’s home can become a hot mess when in a hurry or @ super busy times like the holidays. I love antiques and vintage items and have used them to organize. ie. I use old coke crates to organize my panty,one for my spices,one for boxed items, one for sugar,flour,etc. I have six Coke crates total with some being divided in two sections,some for bottles,some flat. Looks so visually pleasing.

    Hi Sarah,
    Great job organizing your pantry. It looks fantastic!!
    You mentioned the wasted space between shelves and if you have the adjustable shelving holes you can but more of the little pieces that go in the holes and then cut some new wood shelves & paint and then those baskets become like drawers…I feel your pain…I had a tiny one too. Full time job keeping it in order.
    Also…when you tackle under your kitchen sink, empty it out and buy the peel and stick wood look vinyl flooring planks and put them down first…the organize. I worked for a handyman company and we always had calls for damaged kitchen sink cabinets that ruined the wood floor in them from leaks, so putting vinyl down protects that and it’s so easy to wipe clean. Plus the rustic wood planks looks so cute too, makes you want to keep it cleaned. Have a happy weekend!!! Love your videos!!

    What a great article. I love your cabinets. Makes me realize how badly I need to organize mine. I’m trying to get a fresh cabinet refinishing soon in my own place, and seeing your design was really helpful to me. Thanks for sharing!
