It’s really starting to feel like fall here in good ol’ Colorado. Football is back on the TV, the temperatures are getting cooler, especially in the morning, school routines are back in full swing, and the leaves are even starting to change. In fact, we have leaves falling from a few of the trees in our front yard. Ready or not, fall is comin’ my friends. So today I thought it might be fun to share five essentials for a cozy + organized home this fall. I don’t about you, but as soon as September rolls around I always have the itch to get organized for the new school year. And of course fall is about all things cozy, so today I’m combining the two and sharing a few of my must-have items!

1.New Planner
It’s no secret that I LOVE my Erin Condren LifePlanners–I’ve raved about them many times here on the blog over the past several years! And fall is always the time of year that I order a new one. There’s just something about a fresh new planner to help keep me organized, especially when we’re getting back into the routine of school. I just got my shiny new 2019-2020 planner and I looooove it. There are a few new extra’s that come with the LifePlanners this year and I think it’s my favorite one EVER.

How cute is this fruity, lemon design?! I love the vintage-y look to it and the colors are so cheerful. Last year I did a solid black cover, so this time around I was feeling like something a little more colorful. And I customized it with my name.

This year they added in two extra writing pages before each month, which I am SO excited about. I love this space to write down goals, important events, or just anything important or special I need to remember for the coming month. (PS: the huge EC Friends + Family sale just started today so everything is 25% off!!)

2. Cozy Slippers
Yep, I’ve already busted out the slippers over here. The mornings and evenings have gotten pretty chilly, so it was definitely time. These are hands down my favorite slippers ever! They are so comfy and warm–I literally wear them every single day during the winter. Plus they are super affordable! If you’re in between sizes I’d suggest going up. See them here. Also if you’re looking for a cozy cardigan check out this post.

3. Yummy Candles
You can’t have fall without a cozy smelling house. That’s just my opinion, but I’m pretty sure it’s the law. I LOVE burning yummy candles in our home year round, but fall seems like THE candle season to me. Of course my favorite right now is my beloved Warm Caramel Crumble, which I created in collaboration with Antique Candle Co. It’s the perfect yummy, cozy smell for fall. It’s basically like you’ve been baking delicious pies all day long!

4. Wall Calendar
Another great way to get organized for fall is with a family wall calendar. I just ordered this one and I love the size of it. This is much larger than most of the wall calendar’s I’ve had before, which is really nice. I hung it up in our dining room so we could all see what we have coming up each month. It’s a great way to keep “all the things” organized!

5. Chunky Knit Throw Blankets
If you want to create a cozy + organized home for fall, just add lots of soft, chunky knit throw blankets! This will add tons of texture to any space and it’s a really great way to “fall-ify” a room without pumpkins or traditional fall decor. This cream colored chunky knit blanket is one of my favorites. I also have this one, which is the PERFECT blanket to snuggle up with on a cool night. Highly recommend it! It also comes in several color options.

Fall is such a fun season and in a way everything feels brand new this time of year. I don’t know if it’s just because of the new school year or what, but I definitely sense more energy in the air. I might be crazy, but that’s the vibe I get anyway! But, I love having a cozy + organized home in September, so I hope this helped if you enjoy doing the same!! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. You are super cool. xo
