Early Fall Coziness + Target Finds

Happpppppy September!! Can you believe we’re already here? This year has flown by so fast and the summer was no exception. I gotta say, it was a little bittersweet to see August go. You guys know how much I love summer and my warm weather, but I’m also getting really excited for fall. Football, comfy sweaters, boots, pumpkins–I’m looking forward to all the cozy fall things. And even though I’m not quite ready to bust out the pumpkin decor, I am starting to slowly transition into fall coziness. So today I thought it would be fun to share a few new cozy things I added into the front room. I’ve also rounded up lots of fun fall finds from Target too!

One of my favorite things to do when it comes time to transition into fall decor is to add in chunky throws and pillows. I usually swap out my lightweight blankets for heavier cable knit textures because they instantly make any space feel more cozy. It’s such an easy and fast switch! This year I’m planning to add more pops of color in for fall, so I grabbed that gorgeous mustard colored throw from Target. (Unfortunately I can’t find the link for this one, but I’ll definitely share when I do.) I also added in two of these crochets pillows!

Another great thing to do anytime you transition from one season to another is to de-clutter and simplify. Before jumping right into a new decor look, take time to let a space breath a little. I always love to go through each room and pack up anything that I no longer need for the incoming season, but also just clear out extra stuff. Then before I jump right into a new season’s decor I like to take a quick inventory of what I already have in my stash. I usually spend a few days going through everything, which really helps me figure out what my plan is for the new season. I am so excited to give this room a new look for fall!

I just picked up this new jute rug from Target yesterday and while I was there I couldn’t help but drool over all the gorgeous fall decor. They had SO many good things, so I thought it would be fun to round up a few of my favorites below! Also be sure to check out these posts if you’re looking for more fall inspiration:

Hi… I so enjoy your photos… The rooms are very calming. Will you tell me the brand and color name of the”white” you have on the walls? It is warm and inviting.. I have a most difficult time finding the “right” shade in a paint store. I see what I think “is the one”… get it home and blahhhh. Any tricks of the trade you have to share? Please❤️

Hi Kelly! This paint color is Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. It’s what we have throughout the entire main level of our home. It’s a good one!

There are some really good posts on Pinterest on how to choose paint colors. We are building a home and I have been reading a lot of them. You can even search specifically for how to choose the best whites, grays, beiges, etc. with great suggestions. Search “choosing paint colors” or something g similar. Good luck!

Do you have a link to the large wicker basket you have in your photo? The one in the target link is smaller than I was hoping. I need one similar to the big one in your room. Thanks!
