Wanna hear something crazy?! It’s going to be November in less than a week. NOVEMBER. Seriously. I’m not kidding. Can you even wrap your mind around that? I certainly can’t. I mean, doesn’t it feel like May was last week? And now here we are headed into the last two months of 2018 and gearing up for another holiday season. Eeesh. Life just goes too darn fast. I’ve even started thinking about Christmas decor, which doesn’t even seem possible. Obviously we still have a ways to go, but it’s comin’ man! Anyway, I’m not here to talk about Christmas decor today. Nope. Instead I have a fun Friday Favorites for you guys. It’s just a few random things I’ve been loving lately. AND for the first time ever, there’s even a little video too!
New Vintage Chair
Ok, I think it’s fair to say that I have an obsession with vintage chairs. I honestly LOVE them and I have a really hard time passing them by at antique stores. I’m not sure what it is, but I’m always drawn to the simple beauty of old wooden chairs–especially if they are unique. Well I picked up another one recently and I think it’s one of the cutest wooden chairs ever, so I had to share it with you guys!
The thing I love the most about this chair is the flower detail on the top panel. Isn’t it so gorgeous?! I’ve never seen chair like this, so I had to scoop it up. AND it was only seven bucks. SCORE.
The Best Boots EVER
I raved about these boots on IG stories this week, but I wanted to mention them here too because they’re just so good. I picked these up from Target last week and I looooooove them. I took them with me to Waco and they’re probably the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. I have wide feed, so finding comfortable boots is super tricky, but these are amazing. And less than $40!
Goodies from Waco
While I was in Waco lat weekend I didn’t have a lot of extra time to shop, but I did drop by The Findery and grab a few things. I picked up a really pretty wooden tray, two old book page bundles, and vintage flash cards.
You guys know I have a growing obsession with vintage flash cards–I use them in a lot of my posts. And I also love vintage Bingo cards too. My favorite way to style them is simply on top of old books. They just add a bit of extra character and charm to any vignette.
5 Easy DIY Decor Ideas from Hobby Lobby
Soooooo I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and did something kinda fun–I filmed five easy DIY decor ideas. I wanted to come up with simple projects that literally anyone could do in less than 30 minutes and I shared it over on Instagram in my stories. But since I know a lot of you aren’t on IG, I wanted to share it here too! It’s a little rough, I’m definitely not a video pro by any means, but I hope it gives you an idea or two for your home! (And if it doesn’t play you can view it here.)
Well that’s it for me today my friends! Thanks so much for dropping by the blog, it means so much to me. I’ll see you back here Monday morning with a fun update on our kids’ bedroom makeover!

thank you so much Dot!! xo
Old chairs appeal to me also. My biggest thing that I have a hard time resisting are bowls, all different sizes. I love the tray you got at the Finery. I would have bought it if they had it when I was there back in April… thank you for the clever DIV tips.
OH I love bowls too Carol! Especially dough bowls.
Your video was a treat for all your readers today! I really liked the tray and the chair. My go to thing is bottles…..seltzer, vinegar, medicine, milk…..etc. They look so pretty with flowers, rolled up paper or just as a grouping. Love your ideas so keep up the good work.
thank you so much Nancy!
Wow…I loved your video! And yes, easy peasy DIY! Yea!!šš¼šš¼
So I have been following you a long time on IG and remember when you were branching out to this blogging adventure. I have been researching it to start my own in conjunction with my IG, Pinterest, FB accounts. Your tutorial has made it so easy for me to decide who I need to select for my host, domain etc. Thank you Sarah for being so kind and extending your knowledge for us newbie bloggers!! I was wondering if you would share which plan you went with first…the recommend one or the high level one?
Thanks a bunch!

Oh wow, I love that chair! Sooooooo cute! Simple and cute but makes a big statement. Love the way you styled it too! Loved the videos. And youāre right about not all of us being on IG. I do good to figure out my way around this iPad lol! Thanks for thinking of us!
haha I totally understand that Sheila! I’ll be sure to share any other DIY/shopping trip videos I do on IG here too!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! So many times I see an item I like but canāt figure out what to do with it or how to display it, so I leave it on the shelf. I also appreciate that you did the video at Hobby Lobby ā a place that is reasonably priced and a place most of us have access to. Please do another video soon!!
So glad you like the video Janna! I’ll definitely be doing more videos like this!
Thanks Sarah – loved the video from Hobby Lobby. You should do this more often for those of us who see these beautiful pieces but don’t know how to use them or put them together to create something we love! Would you consider doing some “budget finds” for those of us who can’t afford many of the items you blog about? Looking forward to your holiday inspirations!
Thanks Kimberly! And yes, I would love to do more budget finds. I’m all about that!
Thank you for taking the time to do the Hobby Lobby diy ideas. It take a fresh look and someone with a talent of putting things together, sometimes I feel I am running around in circles trying to make things happen. I do have a question on the side of your amber spray bottle you have thieves on the outside of the bottle did you order a decal or is that handwritten. Also what would you do with a vintage wooden letter bill misc organizer.
Also I am looking forward to Monday to hear your news!!!!
Hi Susie, that label is from Etsy. There are actually tons of little shops that make labels for Thieves cleaning bottles! And they’re really affordable too.
This was awesome…thank you, Sarah! As other viewers have commented, I probably would’ve followed you through the store in a non creepy kind of way. š
Am heading there now to make the ‘laundry’ sign.
Thanks and keep these coming!
haha I would have loved that Colleen! Hope you love the laundry sign. Send me a pic if you can!
Fabulous post!!!! Great ideas!
