3 Easy & Beautiful Gift Wrapping Ideas
So I have to admit, one of my least favorite things to do this time of year is wrap Christmas gifts. Really, it’s true. I usually procrastinate and I always dread doing it. Does anyone else feel that way or is it just me? I’m actually pretty awful at it too (just ask my husband!) and I usually find myself going the lazy route and opting for gift bags most of the time. But this year I decided to make the tedious task of gift wrapping more fun and less boring, so I came up with a few easy and beautiful gift wrapping ideas. They’re all super quick and simple, but I think you’re going to like them!
1. Classic & Easy
My first idea is the most easy and basic of the three, but it’s still beautiful. I simply used this white matte wrapping paper, red and white twine (from Michael’s), a sprig of holiday greenery, and a small black label that I stamped. Quick and easy peasy!
2. Christmas Tree Truck
You know I couldn’t resist using that Christmas truck stencil again! I used it on this DIY Christmas crate a while back and I’ve been itching to try it on wrapping paper. I know a lot of you snagged that stencil too, so if you have it sitting around you might want to try it on wrapping paper. It worked perfectly–I just used a small sponge to apply black paint over the stencil. This stencil is great for larger boxes/gifts, although it does come in smaller sizes. FYI–this wrapping paper is pretty thick, so it handled the paint just fine. But I don’t think it would work as well on super thin wrapping paper.
3. Vintage Book Page & Stamps
I loooooove this last one and all I did was use an old book that I stamped with MERRY CHRISTMAS. (I used small acrylic stamps similar to these. This set is really cute too! ) I simply glued it onto the wrapping paper and then wrapped a little twine around it. Again, super basic and easy, but perfect if you’re a vintage lover like me. And you can customize it to say anything you want!
This was my first time using plain white wrapping paper and I LOVED it. It’s like a blank canvas that is just begging for some creativity. There are so many fun possibilities and the sky is the limit on what you can create. And I have to admit, I kinda like the simplicity of it compared to traditional wrapping paper. It’s just simple and classic–which you know I’m all about these days. Well I hope you enjoyed these easy and beautiful gift wrapping ideas. Any of these are sure to give your gifts a little extra pizzazz this year! And who doesn’t love pizzazz?

Ok, this is just crazy…I was actually thinking the other day about asking you about gift wrapping! And even crazier, I had some similar ideas! Yours look so super cute! I’m kinda bummed because I couldn’t find any plain white paper around here so I just went with plain craft paper. I haven’t wrapped anything yet 😟 but I’m hoping I can make mine as cute as yours!! Thanks for the ideas and for reading my mind! Ha!!

I smile each time I see your red and white twine. It is such a pop of color! Tell your friends I have used freezer paper from the grocery. Another fun plain and easy to find is tan mailing paper. I think the parchment paper from the grocery would work too. Getting ready to use some this morning and bake cookies.

Good Morning Everyone from Northern New Jersey,
I too love the simple idea of Christmas wrap. I have also used the tan mailing wrap with a pretty bow using wire ribbon tied as if the package were a shoe. But I love the idea of white paper and the post from Sally Brown regarding parchment paper, what a great idea!!!! I usually try to use a solid color (different every year) for the adults but I always go back to the Disney for the girls and something from a fav. cartoon for the boys of course with a Christmas theme.
Have a blessed day

I love the look of your wrapped presents. This is such a cool idea. I am so not into commercial wrapping paper this year. Your presents have such a vintage look….which I love.

I love the simplicity of these styles.
I have found over the years if you put some Christmas songs on your music system and put your Santa hat on and just enjoy making your presents look beautiful. This works for me and I always have a lot of presents to wrap.
The Christmas songs really help get you in the mood for wrapping!
Sarah
> Lindsay in UKI agree. That definitely makes it more fun Lindsay!

I dread and I mean dreaded wrapping Christmas presents. When I was single and had fewer people to buy for, well then it was fun and creative. After I married a man with 5 Children that turned into 16 grandchildren, then into great grandchildren. Well, then letting the parents buy their gift and wrap them was a better idea. Especially when they didn’t like me after all. Boy, what you do for love.
