Cozy Holiday Bedroom
Want to hear something fabulous? I spent all day yesterday in my pajamas. Yep. ALL DAY. It was glorious. Absolutely glorious. I highly recommend it. We watched football, laid around the house, and just hung out together. Now I’m feeling recharged and ready to take on a fresh new week. I hope you are too! I’m also excited for today’s post because I’m sharing our cozy holiday bedroom. It’s been a while since I shared our bedroom and I honestly can’t even remember the last post I did on this space. But I figured now would be the perfect time because I’ve added a few little fun pops of Christmas cheer. As usual I kept it pretty simple, you know that’s how I roll around here, but I focused on cozy bedding, winter wreaths, and the perfect small Christmas tree.
Ok, first I have to rave about this new bedding because it’s my FAVORITE part of the entire room. Don’t you just want to crawl in there and take a nap? Gah! It’s so cozy. I finally made the switch to a down comforter and I love it. Then I found this gorgeous duvet cover at Wal-Mart to go along with it. You guys, I am absolutely obsessed! Doesn’t it have the most cozy, farmhouse vibe with that ruffle? I love the simplicity of it and the quality is awesome–it’s 100% cotton. It also came with a those pillow shams and it’s available in a few different color options.
How stinkin’ cute is that little wooden Merry Christmas crate? I actually think it’s meant for a tree, but I thought it would be perfect for a few extra pillows in our bedroom. I love the aged look of that little tree!
I wanted to create a simple Christmas-y focal point on this wall above our bed, so I decided to use these flocked wreaths. I picked these wreaths because they’re great for a holiday look, but they also easily transition into winter decor. That’s a double whammy!
I’ll be honest, it’s pretty darn tough to get out of that big, cozy bed in the morning. I am absolutely loving our new down comforter and duvet cover. And this room feels so cheery with all of the pops of Christmas decor. But the best part is that I was able to put this space together without spending a fortune. You guys, if you haven’t shopped at walmart.com recently you might want to check it out. They literally have thousands of items to get your home ready for the holidays, including decor and furniture that you can easily shop by style. And if you’re looking to cozy up your bedroom for the winter I also suggest checking out their bedding sets. I especially love this quilt and this one too.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today to check out our cozy holiday bedroom. I hope it gave you an idea or two for your own home. Now go have a fabulous week! xo

Sarah, your blog is an absolute joy and I look forward to it every morning! Beautiful bedroom decor and bedding, looks so cozy and fluffy. Have been looking at duvet inserts and have been overwhelmed by all the choices out there😕. Would you mind telling me where you got yours? Thanks!
Sarah
> Lori KrenekThank you so much Lori! I really appreciate that. Our down comforter is from a random store called Tuesday Morning, but you want to look for one that is a high thread count and high fill count. High fill count is what makes it feel heavier aka cozier! 🙂

First time commentor! I LOVE your duvet comforter. I’ve been looking for a big SOFT cozy one. Is it really soft and cozy? That’s what I need. Is yours the white or beige? You can’t beat the price!

First of all, your bedroom=GOALS. I’m needing help with how to set up my bed. I love low laying bed setups (to me, they’re so cozy) and yours looks to be sitting low. What kind of frame is it on? Currently, my box spring and mattress are just sitting on the floor. I need ideas!
