You guys!!! My dream of wallpaper in the dining room has come true. My mom and I literally just finished this project today and I couldn’t wait one more second to share it with you. It turned out SO good and I’m completely smitten it. Plus the shiplap is done, which I haven’t shared here either. The dining room has a whole new vibe now!!
Eeeeek! I love it so much. I don’t know why in the world I’ve waited so long to try wallpaper. This has totally changed the vibe of this room and I couldn’t be happier with it. This wallpaper is actually from Home Depot–it was peel and stick so this section of wall only took a little over an hour to do! And the beauty of peel and stick is that I can easily change this out down the road.
I kinda decided last minute to do the wall about two thirds of the way up with shiplap. The original plan was to shiplap this whole wall, but I changed my mind the day before our contractor was scheduled to come. I just wanted to mix it up and give wallpaper a try. I’m so glad I decided to go for it! I love the olive branch and the fact that it symbolizes peace is just perfect for our new home.
This was actually super easy to install. My mom has done a ton of wallpaper in her day, so she took the lead and taught me how to do it! This big thing was making sure our patterns lined up correctly from piece to piece, which is pretty easy to do. And because it’s peel and stick, there was no prep required. It just sticks right on the wall–so easy peasy! I can’t wait to do more in our home. I think I’m hooked on wallpaper now!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope this gives you a few ideas for your own home. xo
Just beautiful! So fresh and clean looking. But I can also imagine how wonderfully the green will look with holiday decorating!! Such a great choice!
Looks fantastic. Really gives the room that something special with the shiplap and wallpaper. Great job !
thank you!! xo
Looks beautiful! Wondering if shiplap is peel and stick? Would love to do shiplap in bedroom; however, concerned the peel and stick would be difficult to remove if and when I want to change it?? Thank you!
It’s real shiplap! You can buy it at Home Depot now.
It’s all coming together. Such a beautiful home you are making. The basement is looking amazing. Do you have another fireplace down there? Just curious.
The rooM is beautiful. So glad you chose the green!
me too!! I was leaning towards the black and white at first, but I LOVE how the green looks in here!
Looks amazing! Luv luv luv it!
Such a fresh & clean look.
I’m sorry, but it’s to busy for me.. not a fan. It’s like you are trying to hard. I’m not trying to be harsh.. just truthful.. I do like alot of the decorating you do, that’s why I’m here.
That’s her choice, not yours. She loves it. There’s a saying…If u hv nothing nice to say don’t say it.
Sarah, such a great job! Love it…
Do you have to put a primer or a wallpaper sealer on the wall before you put the wallpaper?
I love the olive leaf too!
Nope, no primer at all! Just peel the liner off the back and stick it on the wall. Super easy!!
Absolutely stunning. Did I ever say that about your style and decor before?!? So clean. So neat. You make it look so easy. I’ll
Contract you to decorate my home now. 😉😍
ah you’re are too sweet Miriam!! xo
This looks so amazing! Great inspiration for us all!
Love!
Love the wallpaper. It’s so pretty and so perfectly “Sarah”. 😬
haha thank you Melissa!! xo
It’s simply gorgeous! Well done!
thank you Tracey!
Love it!!!!! But not feeling the mirror or
the two lamps…too many different styles in one space. Your wicker chairs would look great in the dining room!!!!
You do what you want in your own home. If Sarah loves it then so be it. 🙂
Love your dining room rug. Where did you purchase it? Would complete my dining room look.
That rug is from Target! Here’s the link for you: https://rstyle.me/+S13nX3_WVRmyduhuN3G07Q
Love, love the wallpaper!! It adds such dimension and coziness to that area!! And the green pattern is so neutral but fresh looking too.

Sarah, I LOVE this! I’m a huge fan of wallpaper. Really takes the room over the top!
Thanks Debi, it definitely gave the room some extra pizazz!!
I like it…..and I don’t like wallpaper. 😉 That looks cute! The one you picked is nice!!!! The green was a great choice!!!
haha thank you Tracie!! I’m so glad I went with the green. It’s a fun pop of color!
I love how your new house is coming together. The dining room is gorgeous.
The prints are exactly what I expected them to be. The canvases are mounted and stretched well to the back frame. The hanging hardware are of good quality and they were attached to the back frame straight and level so the prints hang properly on the wall. They have a very beach feel so they hang best in a room where you are trying to draw the outside environment into the room. I bought item at https://wallcorners.com/product-category/wall-art/living-room-art-canvas/
I agree, the wallpaper does give it a completely different look. Change one thing change everything!!!
Thanks for sharing…now i need to get some wallpaper:)
Where are your chairs from? I love them!!!
Can u tell me where the wallpaper is from? It is lovely!!
