Good morning and happy Thursday! So I know I just shared a post about our living room last week and there’s a good chance you’re probably not ready to see it again so soon, BUT I just spruced it up our living room for fall and it’s so dang cute! I really didn’t do too much, mostly because we have a bazillion other things happening around the house and I want to keep fall decor super simple. My brain can’t handle anything too complicated right now , so I’m keeping things light and easy breezy. I added a few pumpkins, my favorite fall throw blankets, and I also got a new sage green rug from Wayfair for the living room. I love how it’s looking!
Living Room Rug
Isn’t this rug purdy?! I’ve been really loving pops of green lately–it ties in really well with my new wallpaper in the dining room! The sage green accents are perfect. (I got it from Wayfair and that’s where my old rug was from too!) And I’m a big fan of that distressed/vintage vibe. I think it’s so beautiful and it gives you color without being too overbearing. Our living room is pretty large, so I got the 9×12 but there are several sizes.
The Coffee Table
This large round coffee table is so great! I’ve had the same coffee table for five years now, so I wanted to try something new and I’m loving this one. It’s huge, which means it works really well as a little table for the kids to play at, do homework, or even have a snack. They use it a ton!
The Bench
How stinkin’ cute is this bench?! My father in law made this for our mudroom a few weeks ago, but I loved it so much that I had to move it in here under this window. Now I have a fun little window seat! I added those large baskets, which are great to store tons of toys and extra stuff for the kids.
I’m planning to use the end tables we had in our living room down in the basement so I grabbed a pair of these farmhouse style side tables from Wayfair in the color vintage cream for the living room. They were super easy to assemble and I love the open design. (PS: if you’re looking to do any updates in your home be sure to check out Wayfair–they have a ton of good decor, furniture, and even area rugs under $39 HERE. And they also do free shipping over $35!)
It’s been so fun to decorate this space and figure out what works in here and what doesn’t. I’ve moved things around a zillion times already, but I feel like it’s finally coming together and starting to feel more like us. I just love how cozy and bright it is in here! This is definitely my favorite room in our home. PS: Check out more of my fall decor posts here.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope this post gives you a few ideas for your home. xo
Thank you to Wayfair for partnering with me on today’s post!
It is such an exciting time for you and your family! I hope you feel encouraged from the time you mentioned some blues in wanting it to feel cozy and homey in another post. It certainly looks like it is coming together in a pretty way!
I really do feel so much better! These last two weeks especially have been a turning point for me. I’m feeling more at home, more settled, and starting to really love this place. I know God has us in the right spot!
HI Sarah, kitchen/breakfast nook/dining room/sitting room are picture perfect! Simple, cozy, unfussy… I can see you got rid of that bookcase (to the left of the fireplace)… Hallelujah! Much better without it! 🙂 Can’t wait to see more progress!
Yes I did get rid of that bookcase!! It was too much in that spot. I’ve seriously moved things around 29172 times now, but I’m finally figuring it out! 🙂
Looking so wonderful.
It’s amazing how much that rug really ties the room in together. With the wall paper you just put up I bet it all blends and ties well together. Cannot wait to see how your basement turns out.
Love it so much! Super cozy! The ship lap is gorgeous & I cannot believe the difference some paint on the fireplace makes.
Another perfect day for you. Living room is beautiful. Love that you picked the green Hugh rug. Can you see the wallpaper from the living room. Would all flow together. You are doing a great job. Love your posts.
It’s beautiful your finally home. And that rug ties in really good with the dining area now.Enjoy! Always love your posts.
Good Morning Sarah
Looks beautiful. I noticed the new rug right away…lol. Love it! Everything is so perfect.
Have a great day and God bless you
Love the rug. I wished I could have a light color rug in our home, but I have a Hubby that doesn’t always take his shoes off and I know it would get messed up. I did buy a nice blue rug and it hides stains if they occur.
Cute living area. Nice and bright. Looking forward to the finished dining room wall. Looking nice so far 🥰
Sarah, what a cozy living space and I love the green in the rug!! It looks just perfect in there! Wish I could sprint over from Virginia and have a cup of coffee with you.☺️
Gorgeous space! It’s so nice to see how you are settling in and getting into your groove again. Yay!!
Looks great Sarah, very cozy and inviting.
Just curious, do you still have the Walmart recliners or did you get rid of them?
Your room is beautiful and so cozy looking! Thank you for sharing your ideas and making it so easy for people like me to copy. Can’t wait to see more of your finished rooms!
I’m so happy this is feeling more like home to you now! I’m loving following along with how you are making each space yours. I love the rug! So pretty!
It’s so bright and beautiful! And that green rug…yum!
Love the views! It must feel like home now.
Hi Sarah! Your living room is looking wonderful!! I love the new rug, and the black coffee table seems to soften the black fireplace. I like the painting above the fireplace too. Great job!
Your living room looks soooo nice!!! Great job, Sarah!
You always try something that I would never think of, and it turns out great! You must have the magic touch 🙂
I won’t get tired of saying this, but in love of your style 💯😍. I can’t wait the turn out of your basement!!!!
Can you tell me what color paint is on your walls and what finish you went with? Thank you
Hello Sarah! Love your style and your blog. Can you please tell me where you got your dining chair cushions? I am purchasing the chairs and would like to have the cushions as well. Thanks! Suzanne
This is such a gorgeous view of your living room and kitchen! I love all the design choices you’ve made in your new home so far. Those black lanterns over the island are perfect and love your new hood over the stove. It’s really becoming such a cozy and welcoming space!
I have that same rug!! I love it as well. 😉
Sarah,
Your house is really coming together. I wish I had the skill you have to decorate my house. Sometime I do well, and other times it just looks terrible. Do you have a set of skills you go buy to make things fit together?
Things are really coming together! Love the new rug!!!! question: How do you feel about having your TV so high? Above the mantel? It’s been a bone of contention here….
Great looking rooms. Where can the pillows and hassocks be purchased?
Love Love this! Soo simple but really cozy!😊
thank you!!
Hi, I really like your rug. Can I ask the name of the rug from Wayfair? I can’t seem to find it from Wayfair UK. And do you do interior design sevice?
