Vintage Inspired Area Rugs For Any Room
Hi guys! So I have a question for you–if you had to choose just one thing that either makes or breaks the overall style of a room what would it be? That’s a tough one, I know. I’ve been thinking about this lately because I want to write a post about five key design elements to include in every room. It got me thinking about what’s most important–the light fixture? The couch? The paint color? The lamps? How do you even choose just five, right? I think it’s totally up for debate, but the one thing I kept coming back to over and over again was the importance of choosing the right area rug. And that ain’t easy! You can have stripes, geometric shapes, crazy colors, and all kinds of wacky things. It’s much more challenging than choosing the right couch, if you ask me. And trust me, I’ve made my fair share of mistakes when it comes to area rugs. I always viewed them as a piece of function, instead of being an important design element. It wasn’t until recently that I realized how an area rug can be like a work of art. It can dramatically influence the overall feeling and vibe of any room. I’m geeking out a bit here over area rugs, I know, but they really are a big deal. So today I’m sharing nine vintage inspired rugs that I think will all work seamlessly in a variety of decor style. I gathered these all from the brand new Joanna Gaines rug collection available at Pier 1 and oh my word–these are so gorgeous. Each one of these rugs is unique and they all have the potential to make any room come alive in the best way possible. These are my personal favorites, but you can check out the full collection here.

Aren’t these just stunning?? Each one is full of so much character and personality. And the thing I love most about this collection is that they’re all so versatile–I think many of these rugs could work in a farmhouse style home, or even something a bit more modern. They’re just effortless and sure to add personality to any room in the most beautiful way. I hope this post helps if you’re in the market for a new area rug! I was wondering if I could send you pictures of my (very) small space and if you could give me ideas on a rug to include. I had a small rug but fortunately the dog ate it so I’m in need of a new one. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
