The Coolest Vintage Grainsack, Amazon Finds & More

You guys!! I have something super fun to share with you today because I found the coolest vintage grain sack ever. EVER. Really, that’s not an exaggeration. In fact, this probably deserves its very own post but I couldn’t wait to show you so I’m throwing it in today for Friday Favorites. You know, I’m not the most patient gal around. Anyway, I found this grain sack a few months ago at the vintage fair I went to where I found the old fan box and the chicken crate. Well ever since then it’s just been sitting in my pie safe, living a sad little life while it waited to be used. But no more! It’s finally out and displayed in all its glory. I’m so excited to share it with you today, along with a few other vintage inspired decor finds I found on Amazon this week!

Gah! How stinkin’ CUTE is that sunshine grain sack?! I mean, have you ever seen anything like this in your life? You know I’m a BIG fan of vintage grain sacks, and I’ve collected a few of them over the years (check out my other ones here). But I’ve never seen one that says sunshine, which of course is perfect for me. I just think it’s the cutest thing ever and I absolutely love it. It’s always little decor finds like this that make me the happiest.

We actually framed it using an old antique picture frame my mom found at a thrift store a while backmy husband just used some kind of magical woodworking skills to cut it down so it would fit the grain sack perfectly. I painted it white first, then with black paint so that when I distressed the frame with sandpaper it would have a vintage-y look to it. Turned out just the way I wanted it!

Vintage Inspired Amazon Finds of the Week

Sooooo the other night I was on my computer browsing around on Amazon after everyone went to bed. Obviously a good use of my time, right?! Anyway I couldn’t stop looking because I just kept coming across the coolest vintage inspired/farmhouse decor finds. It’s been a while since I’ve shared any affordable decor finds from Amazon, so I wanted to share a few of them with you guys today!

These cool galvanized shelves would be perfect for a little extra storage in the bathroom or maybe even an office. I love the grain scoop vibe happening here.

I love this large framed herb sign. It’s so perfect for spring and summer and it would make for easy breezy affordable kitchen decor. There’s another one here that matches with different herbs and spices. And I don’t know about you, but I think this set would make a fun Mother’s Day gift?!

How awesome is this farmhouse inspired pouf?! Super cute and it would be perfect for the living room, play room, or anywhere really.

Oh man. This sweet little wooden cubby is adorable! And for once I actually like how they styled it in the stock photo. It’s perfect for succulents or other greenery. Or old books. And of course you could paint this to give it a new look!

Other tidbits from the week:

  • I ordered another set of these farmhouse-ish dish towels this week. I love the look of these and they’re super affordable, so I don’t have to stress if they get stained.
  • I’ve been really enjoying this deep conditioning hair mask I received in my FabFitFun box last month. My hair has been really dry lately, so this came at the perfect time. I loooooove it.
  • A couple weeks ago I ordered this sweatshirt dress and this one too because I found them on sale. They’re both super cozy and perfect for a cool spring day! I know I’ll love these in the fall too.
  • The new Joanna Gaines cookbook has finally been released. It look sooooo good. And another easy Mother’s Day gift!

Well that’s it for me today!! I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I hope your weekend is awesome. I’ll see you back here Monday morning! xo
