The Best Winter Coat + Hat

A few weeks ago I decided to finally embrace the cold weather life here in Colorado and get myself some good winter lady essentials. I got a pair of snow pants, new snow boots, fuzzy fleece lined ear warmers, and even wool socks. I definitely stocked up on warm clothing, but I still needed a good winter coat for every day. The one I’ve been wearing for years now was actually a thrift store find! And while I do have a knee length coat, I really wanted one that was shorter that could be worn more comfortably on a daily basis. Anyway, I just got one from Backcountry and I’m loving it. It’s EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for and I also found the perfect winter hat. And the folks at Backcountry were nice enough to give me a coupon code for you guys!! Winter Coat

This is the Marmot Ithaca Down Jacket and I’m seriously in LOVE with it. It’s so warm, but also lightweight at the same time. It’s like you’re wearing a warm cloud around your body! I don’t know what kind of magic they used to make this coat, but I’m so impressed. And I love the faux fur hood! Plus it’s removable, which is awesome. I’m wearing size medium and it comes in four color options. See it here.

Best Winter Hat

I also grabbed this super cute scrunchie beanie and I seriously just went on the Backcountry site to order another one in white! It’s SO GOOD. Super warm, not itchy, and I’m a huge fan of the scrunchie look. The fabric is nice and thick too, so it keeps my head toasty warm. I’m not kidding when I saw this is my favorite beanie ever!! See it here.

Last but not least, I want to chat about these gloves. I actually got these because I wanted a good pair of gloves to wear on a daily basis–when I’m driving in the car, picking the kids up from school, or just doing work around the homestead. I needed a lightweight pair of gloves and these are perfect. Plus they have touch screen technology, so you can use your phone with them on! See them here.

I’m ready for all things winter now and I have to admit, I’m actually kinda excited about it. I know that sounds crazy coming from a summer loving gal like me, but I’m excited to do fun cold weather activities like snowshoeing and snowmobiling on our land. Of course we need a snowmobile first, but I’m begging my husband for one!

Anyway, be sure to check out Backcountry for your winter essentials! They also have tons of great mens clothing too. I’ve rounded up a few other things that caught my eye below. Use SARAHJOY15 for 15% off! (some exclusions apply)

Oh Sarah, your entry is gorgeous! Where did you get those darling white trees? Are they metal or wooden?

Sarah, I love the rustic white trees on your front porch. Where are they from?
