Summer Front Porch

One of the hardest parts about living out on the open prairie is dealing with all the wind. As I type this post right now, it’s windy as heck, which means my potted flowers are probably scattered across the lawn. It’s definitely been a challenge and something I’m still not quite used to, but it just comes with the territory I guess. Anyway, over the last two years I’ve learned that I need heavy duty patio furniture–stuff that won’t easily blow around and can withstand all the crazy weather we get year round. My front porch is a great example of a weather-proof set-up!

This is our third summer with this awesome three piece patio set from Walmart and it’s held up SO well! It has been through snow storms, crazy wind, rain, freezing temps and it still looks great. The set comes with both chairs and that little table in the middle. Plus the cushions are nice and thick!. And the covers come off too, which is great if you ever need to wash them. Highly, highly recommend and they’re actually on sale right now!!

This rattan planter is also on sale. I love this little guy! I’ve used it outdoors and indoors. It has a plastic lining, so I just placed a potted flower in there and it’s perfect for the front porch.
