Organize With Me–Makeup Drawer

It’s Monday and that means I’m back with another organizing post! Last week we did my kitchen pantry and this time it’s all about my bathroom makeup drawer. This drawer is probably one of my most-used in the whole house, but it’s become a pretty scary situation. It’s overflowing, unorganized, and basically a hot mess. Here’s how it looked before:

Scary, right?! I’m kinda embarrassed to show this, but it’s real life. I clearly let this drawer get out of control. First I started by taking everyone out, cleaning the drawer, and then throwing any products away that were expired or empty. I also put anything I don’t use on a regular in a large basket to keep in my closet–that way all that’s left in here is stuff I use often and actually need in this drawer. Here’s the after:

So much better, right?! I ordered this large set of organizing bins from Amazon and played around with the different options until I found something that worked. I also got this awesome slotted bin for my smaller compacts!

I also wanted something pretty for my countertop, so I got this tiered marble tray. It works really well to keep my most-used-skincare products and a few extra little things. I also found this cute set of canister jars that match. Plus that basket I found t the dollar spot works perfectly for my makeup brushes!

Next up I organized that next drawer, which houses most of my hair products.

This little storage caddy works really well for this drawer! Plus I found this perfect little organizer for my lipglosses and smaller products.

Nothing fancy happening here, but it sure does feel good to get things organized and cleaned up. It’s crazy how just a few small changes can make a space feel so much better.
