New Cushion in the Reading Nook!

One of my favorite spots in our home has always been my cozy reading nook. It was actually one of the very first projects we did when we moved in five years ago and I’ll never forget how excited I was to turn that awkward and empty hole in the wall into the cutest little nook. (I shared more about how we did it in this post from 2016!) I’ve shared it many times over the last few years, but I wanted to do one last post on this cozy spot because I just got a brand new cover for the seat cushion!!

Isn’t it so cute?! I had that cushion cover made from one of my favorite small shops ever–With Lavender and Grace. I emailed the owner Bianca several weeks ago and asked her to make a new cover for this seat. I had to get rid of our old cover about a year ago, and since then I’ve just been wrapping a blanket around it. But I wanted the new owners to have the chance to enjoy the seat with a proper cushion cover, so Bianca worked her magic! PS: the sign here is from a local boutique, but there is a very similar option on Etsy HERE.

I’m really hoping I can find a way to re-create a cozy reading nook like this in our next house. It’s really such an easy project, so fingers crossed we can make it happen. Also if you’re looking for farmhouse style pillows, be sure to check out With Lavender and Grace. I have tons of her pillows all over our home!! Here are a few more of my favorites:

I still can’t believe you are leaving this beautiful home, but I am the last to say anything since we are living in our second home and will be selling it next year to live in our last home. Can’t wait to see your new home and our new journey.

Love your blog, Sarah! May I ask where you got your black sign with the quote from Laura ingalls wilder? I think those words are such a perfect reminder for me! Thanks so much! Best wishes to you as you pack up and move into your next home!

Love it Sarah. The stripes are a great contrast to the neutral pillows!🧡 So kind of you to think of the new owners.
