Morning friends and happpppppy Sunday! I know you’re probably a bit surprised to see a new post from me today, considering that I rarely blog on Sunday, but I honestly couldn’t wait a minute longer to show you our front room all cozied up for Christmas! You probably know by now that patience isn’t really something I do well, so here I am! Besides, it’s fun to mix it up every now and then, right?! I’m so excited to show you guys this simple, vintage inspired look I put together in our front room. I wanted to keep things pretty neutral this year and I’m actually really loving how it turned out. There a bit of vintage, a bit of modern, and lots of Christmas cheer. Grab your coffee or some kind of delicious Christmas-y treat and let’s get to it!
What says Merry Christmas better than an old vintage sled on your coffee table?! I actually had a totally different idea for this table, but the other day I brought in the sled and just happened to sit it on the coffee table while I was working on the tree. I planned to move it to a different spot in the room, but once I saw how perfectly it fit on this table I just had to go with it. It was kind of a happy accident. I love when that happens!
I styled this vintage cubby up with lots of old books, a few of these cute stockings, this Christmas tree farm sign, and one of my favorite holiday buckets. I love this little corner in our front room, it’s such a fun spot to decorate as the seasons change.
All of my holiday pillows are from With Lavender and Grace, which you guys know is my favorite pillow shop. I really wanted to keep my Christmas decor pretty neutral this year, so these subtle pops of red are perfect.
I mentioned recently that I was excited to go a different route with our Christmas decor this year and I gotta say–I’m really loving all these neutrals. I know it doesn’t work for everyone, but they’re just so comforting and calming for me. I really like how this room came together and that sled is my favorite part! This is basically my space to decorate however my little heart desires, but I’m still doing lots of traditional Christmas decor in our basement for the kids. We have another tree down there with all our homemade and keepsake ornaments, lots of reds and greens, and tons of other cheesy holiday decor. It’s actually kind of fun to have a mix of both styles this year!

Absolutely beautiful! Love the subtle touches of red in that room with your beautiful tree and pillows. And what a neat idea with the sled! Just love the way you pull things together to make such a warm, cozy home.
I love this look. So beautiful!
Are your two chairs pictured from Wayfair or just similar. Yours look so comfy but the Wayfair ones look like the seat is very high. I’m thinking of ordering this chair but need to know if it’s really comfortable. Would so appreciate a reply.
Hi Barbara! These chairs are super comfortable. We’ve had them now for 2 years and I love them–they’re great reading chairs and perfect for the living room. We got ours from a local furniture store but I believe these are the exact same. Good luck with your decision! 🙂
Vert pretty!!

Your ornaments are so pretty and dainty, my I ask where you got them? Your room deserves to be on a magazine cover. Have a blessed day. xx
Aw Angela, you are too sweet! Thank you so much for the kind words. And I got most of my ornaments at Hobby Lobby, but the larger ones on the tree are from Balsam Hill.

It really is such a pleasant room! All the neutrals are beautiful. I noticed that you have a knitted tree skirt, or is it something else re-purposed? Either way I love that!
It’s actually an old knitted blanket! Works perfectly and saves me money on a tree skirt–ha!

Your Christmas decorated home is outstandingly gorgeous. It reminds me of when I was a young girl and would go with my father to cut a Christmas Tree. They would be covered with snow, and I felt as though I had entered into a wonderful Christmas wonderland. Thank you for bringing back priceless memories of my’s. your home is so so beautiful
I’m so glad it could bring back special memories for your Ivory! Sounds like you had some pretty magical Christmas experiences. I’ve always wanted to cut down my own tree!
