My Favorite Protein Shake Recipe

Oh man. What a whirlwind of a week! My brain feels a bit fried after everything that’s happened the past few days, but I’m also feeling extra grateful. And I want to thank you all for the amazing support on my new Cloth + Cabin collection. Really, you guys are just the best people and I’m so thankful for all the support and encouragement. I appreciate it so much! Now, for today’s post I wanted share my favorite chocolate almond butter protein shake recipe. I actually discovered this shake at my gym a while back and then I tried making my own version at home. I finally figured it out, and it’s my new favorite, so I wanted to share it with you guys!

Chocolate Almond Butter Protein Shake

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 scoop chocolate whey protein (I’ve been using this one lately)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • handful of ice

Combine all of the ingredients and blend. (I use a Nutri Bullet.) You guys, this shake is SO good–it basically tastes like chocolate ice cream, but way healthier for you. I’ve played around with the ingredients and this is the combo I like the best. You can add a smidgen more cinnamon if you’d like, but I think 1/2 teaspoon is just about perfect. I like to eat this in replace of lunch every now and then and it usually keeps me feeling full for hours. Sometimes I even add in a scoop of collagen just for an extra boost.

I’m not really a huge fan of protein shakes, but this one is seriously my favorite. I even like making this recipe when I’m craving something sweet, but still want to be a bit more healthy. I mean, this is better than whipping out a bowl of Oreo ice cream, right? Probably. Anyway, let me know if you try this shake–I’d love to hear what you think. And happy Easter!

This sounds delicious! I bet the combination of chocolate, cinnamon, and banana is fabulous!! Maybe I need to invest in a Nutri Bullet…I think I’ve said that before but I still haven’t done it 🤔 Thanks for the recipe! Hope you have a great weekend friend!! Happy Easter! 🌷🌷🌷

Do you have a preferred almond butter? I’ve never found one I cared for but I’ve been told the brand matters.
