Fall Pillows on Amazon + Other Tidbits
We made it guys! It’s finally Friday and the longest week ever is coming to an end. Just kidding. It wasn’t really the longest week ever, but dang it sure felt like it. My husband’s schedule was super busy this week, so that threw a wrench in everything and made for some reallllllllllly long days here at the homestead. But we survived and it’s almost the weekend. Whoot whoot! Anyway, today I have a super random mix of affordable decor and other things to share with you guys for Friday Favorites, including some awesome fall pillows I found on Amazon, a few current skincare favorites, and the most amazing (and affordable) chunky knit throw blanket!
I shared this chunky knit throw blanket in my blog post on Monday, but I wanted to mention it again today because it’s AMAZING. I actually came across this beauty at Target and it was less than $30, which is great for a blanket like this–many similar options are over $100. Target wins again! It’s definitely one to check out if you’re looking for a knit blanket for fall and winter–it comes in several colors too.
A few days ago I ordered the adorable fall pillow cover from Amazon and it came yesterday. It was only $8, but I love it and the quality is surprisingly good for such an affordable price. I’ll be styling it in a post next week, but I wanted to share it now in case any of you would like to snag it. Here’s a few other fall pillows and covers from I found on Amazon:
New Favorite Skincare Product
Since I stopped nursing about two months ago I feel like my hormones have been in flux and my skin has kinda crazy. I’ve been dealing with super annoying breakouts since early August and they’re just now starting to improve. I started using this acne clearing + tone correcting gel from Tula about two weeks ago now and I love it so much. It’s great because it helps with any active breakouts, but it also has some magic in it that brightens dark spots left by old breakouts. Definitely something to look into if you deal with breakouts too. You can see more about it here. And FYI: my coupon code VINTAGENEST is still good for 20 percent off on the Tula site.
Currently my skincare routine is super basic. Here’s what I’m using morning + night:
Other tidbits from the week:
- The kids’ beds came in this week and I cannot wait to get them put together and start working on their room. We’re also finalizing plans with our contractor today about putting an extra window in the room the girls will share. It’s super dark now, so I’m really excited get that done. I’ll definitely share more as the whole process moves forward!
- Lately I’ve been making homemade crockpot applesauce and it’s sooooo darn yummy. It’s one of my favorite things to make for fall! It’s also insanely easy and quick AND it makes your whole house smell amazing. The kids love it too. I highly recommend trying it!
- The large metal basket I have in my office area is back in stock. This is one of the most popular decor items I’ve ever shared, so I always like to let you guys know when it’s back in stock. And at a great price too!
- I ordered a mama bird shirt from this cute Etsy shop several weeks ago and I’ve been wearing it so much lately. I think it’s so cute and I always get questions when I wear it. That shop has lots of unique t-shirts.
Well that’s it for me today guys! I’m so glad you dropped by the blog today. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! xo

I discovered some adorable pillow covers on Amazon last week too, and couldn’t believe the great prices…I ordered four different ones and have received three of them so far and they are awesome! I have spent double and three times as much for pillows and will definitely be checking Amazon more often when I want new pillows.
