It’s the first official day of fall and I got to say, it’s a little bitter sweet for me. You guys know how much I love summer and I’m a bit sad to see it go so quickly. But I’m not here to complain. Nope. I won’t do it. I had my summer and now it’s time to embrace fall and all the lovely things it has to offer. Bring on the boots, scarves, football and pumpkin spice everything. Well, unless you’re a freak like me and you don’t like pumpkin anything. Yes, it’s true. I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice lattes. Or pumpkin pie. Or pumpkin flavored coffee. Pumpkin candy. Pumpkin Oreos (yes, they exist!) It’s just not my thing. And I know I’m probably in the minority here, so I really hope we can still be friends after this. Please? Anyway, let’s just ignore how weird I am and move on to Friday Favorites. Today I have some fun things for fall to share, as well as some random tidbits from this past week!
First up is this super cute pumpkin sign I got from That DIY Brunette on Etsy. How stinkin’ adorable is this?! I just styled it on this vintage stool for now, but I’m thinking it will look really great on the mantel. Or even on the front porch. Or anywhere really! That’s the best thing about seasonal signs like this–they’re just easy and effortless. This guy instantly transitions any space to fall.
I also got this “happy fall y’all” sign that’s a bit smaller. I really like this one because the pumpkin is black instead of orange. Call me crazy, but I just don’t like orange pumpkins. Sure, they’re cute, but I’m really not a fan of decorating with them in our home. You guys know I’m a neutral loving kinda gal, so this probably doesn’t surprise you!
I know many of you love wooden sign as much as I do, so I thought it would be fun to round up some really great farmhouse style signs for fall. All of these are from Etsy!

A few other random tidbits from the week:
We ordered our son The Action Bible and he looooooves it. Have you heard of this? It’s looks like a comic book but it’s all stories from the Bible. The graphics are amazing and it’s such a fun way for kids to learn the Bible.
I started reading The Magnolia Story again this week after having one of the craziest, most realistic dream I’ve ever had. I was having dinner with Chip and JoJo and we were eating fried chicken. Ridiculous, I know. I mean, who the heck dreams about people they don’t even know in real life? I guess I’m just weird like that. Anyway, my dream reminded me of my trip to Magnolia Market earlier this year. And it also reminded me of how much I loved their book. It’s such an inspirational story and it always motivates me to work harder and chase my dreams. Definitely a must-read.
I just ordered a new Erin Condren LifePlanner for 2018 and I am sooooo excited to get it. Those of you that have been around for a long time now might remember the post I wrote about my love of paper planners last year. You guys, I’m a major nerd and I still love writing down my schedule and to-do lists on paper. With an actual pen. Crazy, right? I honesty never schedule anything on my phone–everything goes in my planner. I just need to write things down, it’s how I’ve always been. Anyway, the EC planners are my absolute favorite and I’ve used them for years. They came out with a new design this year for a hardbound planner, which is the one I ordered, and I can’t wait to get it and start writing down all the things.
Now for some super fun news–I’m getting a farmhouse sink. Eeeeeeek! It’s from Sinkology and it’s actually sitting in my garage at this very moment, all boxed up and waiting to be installed. I’m so excited I can hardly stand it. I’ve even made a decision on our new countertops, so things are finally rolling again in the kitchen. I cannot wait to share everything! We’re planning to start installing the sink this weekend, so fingers crossed that goes well. Here’s a picture of the sink we chose–it’s the Bradstreet reversible farmhouse sink in white.
Well that’s a wrap for Friday Favorites today. I’m so glad you dropped by the blog and spent part of your day with me. You guys are so awesome. I have a big post coming bright and early Monday morning, so I’ll see you back here soooooooooon!

I love the sink and I can’t wait to hear how the install goes! I just found your blog and I’m loving it! We are in the process of buying a home and I plan on transitioning it to farmhouse style.
Thanks Brittni! I’m a little nervous about the installation, I think it will be harder than I anticipated…Fingers crossed it goes well!
Can’t wait to see it in your kitchen! SO fun! Kim
I am so excited Kim, can’t wait to get it in!!
Hi Great info today. I decorate for everything, yes colors clash but that’s okay with me! I’m a cardmaker by trade now because of MANY health issues. I too use a planner, each year they get larger and larger, I am fearful that soon I will need a 3″ binder with an entire ream of paper in it! That would be nerdy. I use the “Love Today Planner Kit” (full disclosure I sell for Stampin’ UP! they don’t know I’m writing this, hope I don’t get into trouble). It is so great for $37.00 each, I’m doing lots of my Christmas & Birthday shopping. Check it out!
I’ve never heard of that planner Stephanie. Sounds like a good one, thanks for sharing!
Love your blog! The sink is really lovely….good choice. I’m with you on the pumpkin spice.
Thanks Jenny! I can’t wait to get it in.
You find BEST Pumpkins to decorate with! Are they all from Michael’s?
Yep, they’re all from Michael’s!
I love all of your pumpkins!! Are they all real? I would really like some good faux light colored faux pumpkins. Any suggestions?
Nope, they’re all fake. I got them all from Michael’s. They have the best faux pumpkins!
I just love your blog and your stories on Instagram! Your ideas are so cute and I’m with you I can do without pumpkin coffee and everything else pumpkin! So I’m a freak with ya girl! Lol
Thanks Fran! You are so sweet. And high five, we are united in our dislike of pumpkin anything. Weirdos unite! π
Hi Sara! I share your obsession with paper based to do lists….never on the iPad! I feel I’ve achieved when I cross the task off and have been known to write things to do retrospectively and then cross them off straight away…π€ I know, quite crazy! Enjoy your weekend x
hahaha I do that EXACT same thing Helen!! All the time actually. Weirdos unite!
I am not a fan of pumkin spice either, never have been, and I always pass in pumpkin pie. So you are not alone π I love that sink and can’t wait to see your finished kitchen!
Yessss Susanne! No pumpkin pie for this girl either. I’ve tried several times to like it and I just can’t do it. Glad I’m not alone in this. High five friend!
Hi Sara, I’m so glad you are a paper planner girl!!!! Me too!!!! I thought I was the only one. I write everything down, it keeps me from forgetting things, but the best part is a sense of accomplishment when you can cross things off!!
Exactly Cynde! There is nothing better than crossing tasks off my to-do list. Nerds unite!
Okay… well, you DO like pumpkin signs… and pumpkin decor! So, you’re really aren’t *that* weird! π Love the post. Thanks!
I am really interested in the stool in the first picture with the farm fresh pumpkins. May i ask where you found it?
Love the FAUX pumpkins, i have a ton of them myself. You can never go wrong with a fake pumpkin!
Hi there, that is actually from an antique shop!
