Goooooood morning and happy October to you!! Can you believe it’s already October? That means we’re almost done with 2019, people. CRAZY, right?!! It’s mind blowing. I don’t know how this year sped by so quickly, but it sure as heck isn’t slowing down anytime soon. We’re in full blown fall mode now and I’m LOVING it. The weather has been much cooler, the leaves are changing, and I’m craving all things cozy. So today I thought it would be fun to share our cozy fall living room, along with a few photos of our brand new sofa!!
Ok first let’s chat about this new sofa! Isn’t she purdy?! I’ve been dreaming about getting a new sofa for our living room for years now and this one is PERFECT. Our old one was way too tall for this spot and it covered almost eight inches of that gorgeous window. But we bought it when we first moved into this house (it was a lucky clearance find) and I had to make it work. Anyway, this is the Dune Sofa in the color tune cream from Arhuas and I’m honestly blown away at the quality compared to our last sofa. Plus it’s the perfect size for this spot. We get so much more natural light in here now!
The thing I really love about Arhaus is that they are a very eco-friendly brand. All of their sofas are made in the USA (this one was made in North Carolina) and the upholstery is made using wood certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. I LOVE supporting American made products and they are one of the best.
I decided to keep fall decor very simple in here this year. I just added a few fall pillows, cozy throw blankets, and then a couple of pumpkins. Super minimal, but I love the cozy, fresh vibe in this room. And it was so dang easy!
I switched out my old coffee table for a pair of these gorgeous Avoy Poufs, which are from also from Arhaus. These are actually very heavy and sturdy, so they make a great little coffee table/foot rest. I absolutely love all the texture too–it makes this room feel so much more cozy! PS: Arhaus has a ton of amazing options if you’re looking for poufs. See them here.
I still can’t get over how much brighter this room is now with the new sofa. Having eight more inches of that window really makes a huge difference and this whole room feels more open now. And even my husband commented on how much better this space looks now. I am loving this new, cozy look for fall! Anyway, thanks so much for hanging out with me today on the blog. I always appreciate it! xo
PRODUCTS MENTIONED + A FEW COZY POUFS I LOVE:
Thank you to Arhaus for partnering with me on today’s post.
Sarah,
Your living room looks wonderful. I love your new couch and the poufs. Arhaus said they could be extra seating too, always can use that. Your room looks cozy and bright. Thanks for sharing.
Yes!! Those poufs are so handy to have around!
This is beautiful!!! Any tips for how you keep everything white with littles? I sure wish Texas would get the memo that fall has arrived 🤣. Still 95 over here 😩.
Oh man, I’m not sure. Our older kiddos are fine with furniture but I’m honestly worried about how my 2 year old does with this sofa. Fingers crossed!!
Good morning sunshine, I am now in love with this company. I never heard of it before, so thank you for sharing. I absolutely love that sofa and those poufs are perfect. Great choices. Your living room looks really beautiful and so cozy. Happy Fall my sweet friend. 🎃🏈
Ah thank you Angela, I always appreciate you!! xoxo
Yes love the couch..looks very comfy to relax on. Isn’t amazing what a few inches will do with furniture. LOL..Your living room looks very inviting . The poufs can be a coffee table if you want to put a big tray on top.So versatile.😍
Hi Sarah,
Your room looks super pretty. I was wondering if you recall where you got the round table next to the sofa? Thank you so much.
Hi Kelly, that table is from Pier 1!
I love it Sarah. Everything is looking so good. And your right you dont want to cover up that beautiful view you have. You got it going on Sarah. 👌😊
Love it all! Could you please link your rug as well? Thanks so much!
I would also like the link for your rug.
Hi Margie, that rug is from Wayfair. You can see it here: https://rstyle.me/+BnYCUByQxOlS2AW51nT8DQ
Looks beautiful… lov the poufs to❤️🙌
Hi Sarah- your new living room and fall decor are beautiful, as always. But I have a question for you…. I’m sensing as I read/look at your blog in the last several months that you are incorporating less of the truly vintage/rusty farmhouse decor. Do you feel that vintage pieces have run their course?
Hi Debbie, that’s a really good question! I actually still love vintage decor, I just shared a post last week about a vintage cubby that I chalked painted. But I certainly don’t use as much rustic, vintage decor as I did a few years ago. I guess my style has evolved a little. But I still LOVE sprinkling in vintage finds here and there!
Sarah–
I love your design style–thank you for sharing with us–your living room looks gorgeous and sooo cozy! I’m sorry if I may have missed a previous post on this room, but . . . wondering where you bought the gold-ish throw on the sofa, and the black, gold/beige & white plaid throw pillow on the recliner in the last photo (has the fatter black stripes on it)…??
Thank you,
–Alice 🙂
Hi Alice! That throw blanket is from Target, but unfortunately I can’t find the link for it. And those pillows are from With Lavender and Grace!! https://shopwlg.com/collections/fall
Love the poufs. Looked them up on the Arhuas link, but they do not give dimensions. Are they firm or have any softness? How tall and wide? Thank you, your room is lovely.
Any luck finding these poufs or the dimensions? I can’t find them at Arhaus.
Love your new couch! Your living room is gorgeous. Where did you get your ceiling light fixture?
HI Joy, that light is from a local shop but it’s also on the Walmart website actually. You can see it here: https://rstyle.me/+LCvsZOHw5miRvvi4aem-_A
Sarahjoy,
Love the new sofa!!!!! The poufs are to die for as well. The room looks so put together and comfy!!!!! All you need is a good cup of coffee!!!! I love the clean look you have going on now and I’m loving the neutral colors. I looked at the site and the prices for the furniture are a bit out of my league but the poufs are priced ok; especially the one you purchased. I love what you have done for fall. Have a good week and will be awaiting your next email.
your blog friend,
jean
Love this room, any chance you could share the paint colour on the walls? Many thanks!
it’s alabaster by Sherwin Williams!
Hi! What color of white do you have on your walls!? It’s perfect. Your home is beautiful
