Anyone else loving this time change?! My husband and I went to drive by a house last night at 6:30pm and there was still so much sunlight left! It was amazing. I love this time of year because it finally feels like we’re on the down hill slope of winter. Obviously we still have plenty of snow and cold weather left here in Colorado, but spring is coming and I’m SO excited. I even wore sandals yesterday! It was glorious. Anyway, today I’m back with another rendition of Decorate With Me, the new series I started a few weeks ago. This is basically where I find an affordable decor item and show you how it can be styled in a variety of ways throughout your home. Today I’m using a fun boho style woven planter I found at Target a few days ago! I fell in love it right away nd I knew it would be perfect for my Decorate With Me series. You can use this planter in so many ways, but I’m excited to share three super simple and cute styling ideas with you today!
First up, here’s a look at the planter with nothing in it. Isn’t it so cute?! found it for $35 at Target, which I think is a pretty decent price for such a unique planter. I love the boho vibes!! And the colors work well with so many different styles. See it HERE.
1. BOHO PLANTER STYLED WITH HOUSE PLANT
The first and most obvious way to use this planter is an actual planter. Crazy, right?! It’s the perfect size for a little house plant. I styled mine here in the entry way and I love how it adds some pizzazz to this space. (I left the plant in its pot and simply placed it inside the planter.) I’ve actually become quite obsessed with house plants recently, so this is perfect if you’re also a plant lady. I’ve never seen another planter like this one!
2. STYLED WITH OLD BOOKS + FAUX GREENERY
You knew I was going to put old books in this planter, right?! I mean, I just couldn’t resist. It was calling for books. This is the perfect height to sit next to your sofa or a small accent chair–you could even put magazines or remote controls in there too. It adds the right amount of charm and texture!
3. STYLED WITH A FAUX FIDDLE TREE
My last idea is to pair this boho planter with a faux fiddle tree or any faux tree for that matter. This is perfect if you want to add some height to your tree–this planter adds over a foot of height, so it’s a great way to make a faux tree seem bigger than it actually is. Plus I love how it doesn’t add any bulkiness, which makes it ideal for a small corner like this one here in our breakfast nook.
There are so many fun ways you can use this boho planter in your home, but I hope my three ideas give you some inspiration! Also, did anyone notice how easy it would be to DIY this kind of planter?! If you have a small stool and medium size basket you could definitely work some magic with a little hot glue. Easy peasy!
Well thanks so much for hanging out with me on the blog today. If you missed my last Decorate With Me post you can check it out HERE. xoxo
really like it Sarah. Love it with the small plant and the old books. Is there nothing that old books can’t do? Ha.
I’m loving this decor with me that you are doing! It’s really helping me! Keep them coming!
Yarn and big knitting needles would be good in there. So many uses with that extra height.
Really Really darling!!! I’m glad you didn’t shy away from the color pink in your home. It’s so pretty!!!
thank you so much Dina! xo
Did you paint your table and chairs?
I painted the chairs but the table was white when I bought it!
I love the sign! Choose to Rejoice. Did you make it or buy it? Thanks
It’s a letter board from Target. I just spelled out Choose to Rejoice!
Beautiful
