Back to School–Kids Fashion Picks

I don’t know how it’s possible, but somehow our summer break is already winding down. My two older kiddos start school in just a few short weeks and I can’t even bear the thought of summer being over. Seriously, it makes my heart hurt. I LOVE having my kids home with me every day and I’m just not ready for them to go back yet. Summer is too dang short here in Colorado! Anyway, since school is right around the corner I wanted to share a huge roundup of back to school clothing, backpacks, shoes, etc. I actually found some really great stuff from Walmart and everything is very budget friendly. Hopefully this helps if you have back to school shopping to do!

Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post!

Girls Clothing

All righty my friends, that’s a wrap for me this week. I hope that helps if you’re on the hunt for back to school clothes! Be sure to check out Walmart for more affordable finds. They have basically everything you need for school and you can even shop by grade level here!

My boys are your age Sarah, so my comment is not related to children’s clothing but to your instagram feed, as I am not on social media. Just wanted to say you look STUNNING, and no one more deserving of this opportunity than you. Hard working, who has brought me so much joy on my darkest days. Thank you for being you, keep on keeping on. Will purchase and burn your new candle with love. God bless you and your darling family.

Sarah, I respect you a lot, but Walmart? Really? I know the prices are great, but Walmart is unfair to their employees and vendors. I just can’t support Walmart, and I hope you take a look at their policies and the way Walmart treats those mothers, fathers, and those who are trying to support themselves and their families. All Walmart cares about is money; I know you care about a lot more….

Good morning, I don’t usually write comments, but I can’t help myself. I love love love your blog, it is so inspiring, it’s my favorite, but the Walmart posts are not for me. I took a contemporary design class in college, many years ago, and they explained Walmarts business ethics and practices. They have no ethics and treat their employees horribly and their business practices and history are horrible. I haven’t been able to set foot in their stores ever since, and from what I have read, this hasn’t changed over the years!!! This is unfortunate, because they are carrying cute items, but I’ll have to pass. Sorry, to be a downer, but they need to give some love and appreciation to their employees, and their mauntra of all American made items is a hoax. They have grown to be a leading retailer in the US, but it’s unfortunate the way they have gotten there.

    Hi Sarah,
I actually love shopping at WalMart and probably do about 2-3 times per week! I love their affordable clothes for my 2 girls, and they have really gotten to be better quality and more stylish over the past few years. And we have lots of friendly employees that seem to enjoy their job at “my” WalMart! Thanks for sharing and hope your kids have a great back to school experience!! Can’t believe summer is over.

  • Literally can’t stop smiling today because I’m SO excited to finally spill the beans about my candle with @antiquecandleco_ 😍😍 After months of working to find the perfect scent, we are thrilled to share that WARM CARAMEL CRUMBLE by Sarah Joy is coming this fall! πŸ‚πŸ™ŒπŸ» This candle is all about warm, gooey caramel, cinnamon-spiced maple, rich vanilla & baked green apples. It’s basically like heaven in a jar & I CANNOT wait for you to have this bake-y goodness in your home this fall! πŸ₯§πŸ‘πŸ»
  • I finally got the botanical prints + old door project finished πŸŒΏπŸ™ŒπŸ» What do you guys think?! It was kinda tricky figuring out where to hang these prints, but so many of you voted for this spot in stories & I think it’s perfect πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» The floral prints are from @walmart & I LOVE them. I have an obsession with botanical artwork & these are my new favorite. This is all on the blog today & I also linked up a bunch of other botanical prints from Walmart here: #liketkit #ad #LTKhome
  • Spent the day in jammies, snuggling my sick kiddos + watching all of their favorite movies 😍 I hate seeing them sick, especially since we’re only a few days into the new school year, but I sure do love these simple days when they need me the most. Nothing else matters more than this right here β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ» #liketkit
  • Did a little switcheroo in my vanity area & added in a new rug πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ˜ I actually took it from the back deck, so it’s technically not new, but it sure adds a lot of pizazz to this spot, right?! Much more cozy now πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Do you move things around in your home from one room to another? I do it all the time & it’s an easy way to freshen things up without spending any money! #liketkit #LTKhome
  • My little kitchen island is one of my favorite things in our home + I always get so many questions about it. It was actually made from reclaimed barn wood & we’ve had it over 10 years now 😍😍 I bought it when we moved into our first home & it’s been with us ever since. I kinda have an emotional connection to it nowβ€”it’s been through so much with us. Do you have furniture like that?? I’ll probably still have this island in my kitchen when I’m an old granny! πŸ‘΅πŸ»β€οΈ
