My 5 Easiest DIYs to Try this Weekend!

It’s the weekend my friends! And if you’re a DIY loving gal like myself, you might be on the hunt for a fun little project. Well you’ve come to the right place, because today I’ve gathered up my 5 easiest DIY projects ever shared here at LVN. I specifically chose projects that are not only easy to do, but that can be done on a teeny tiny budget. In fact, you might already have many of the supplies on hand and ready to go. And really, all of the projects here can be done in less than an hour or two. Easy. Cheap. And full of farmhouse charm. BOOM.

This DIY bakery sign was one of the very first tutorials I ever posted here on LVN and it’s still one of the most popular. This project basically costs nothing to complete and will add the perfect farmhouse charm to your kitchen!

BURLAP & LACE COVERED BOOKS

This is the kind of project that you can get done in less time that it takes to brew a pot of coffee. Well, that might be a slight exaggeration but it’s close. Really, this one is super duper easy and it’s still one of my favorite projects. And I think these old books would make a great gift for any vintage-loving peeps in your life.

HOME Sign

Anytime I post a photo of our basement on Instagram I get sooooo many questions about this HOME sign. Everyone wants to know where I bought it. I’m always so happy to write back and say, “I made it and it cost less than $15!” You need this in your life pronto.

No Sew Farmhouse Curtains

Like many of my projects, these no sew farmhouse style curtains were a result of me being cheap. Really cheap. I didn’t want to spend any money on new curtains for our bathroom, so this is what I came up with using materials I already had. I actually love the way these turned out and they work perfectly in our bathroom!

OLD DOOR TURNED FULL LENGTH MIRROR

Got an old door laying around? Call up your local glass company and ask them to cut a mirror for it. Then slap it in the door, secure some molding on the edges and your’e done. Easy peasy and still one of my favorite projects ever.

Well there ya go! My 5 easiest DIY projects. I hope one of these has inspired you to get busy this weekend. I don’t know about you guys, but I always find it so rewarding and uplifting to create something. Big renovations and home makeovers are awesome, but there’s also a lot to be said about small projects that allow us to be creative without the burden of a big mess and lots of money. Let me know if you have questions about any of the projects, I’d be happy to help. And if you do create one of these, or anything from my blog for that matter, please feel free to email me a photo of your work at sarah@sarahjoyblog.com. I absolutely LOVE getting emails and photos from you guys, so don’t be shy!

Hi Archie! I got that chair & a half from a local furniture store here in Colorado. But there’s a few similar options on Wayfair. This one is the same size and comes in lots of different colors: https://rstyle.me/n/ctcncbb6hgf

This one here is also very similar: https://rstyle.me/n/csscqdb6hgf

      Hope the helps! 🙂
