Fabulous news my friends–my favorite consignment store is back open! I dropped by there this past weekend and it felt so good to see that cute little place up and running again. There were other human beings there and everything. Obviously we all had masks on, but it was GREAT. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And the best part of all is that I found a project! I bought an adorable wooden table and I can’t wait to show you guys what I did with it. Here’s what the little table looked like when I bought it:
Kinda cute, right?! I found this shoved in a sad corner of forgotten things at the consignment store and I barely even noticed it. But I saw the potential and I knew it would be such a fun piece to style. I got it for $30. BOOYAH. I decided to paint it with the Magnolia Home chalk paint in the color Garden Trowel. Here’s how it looks now:
This little table turned out so much better than I expected! I did two coats of paint and then I distressed it a bit with sandpaper. Then I styled it with this rectangle wicker tray and lots of greenery (I love these $5 faux potted plants!) and my beloved ZZ plant. Now it’s such a cute little plant stand.
I love doing easy furniture makeovers like this–they’re just so satisfying and I’m all about the instant gratification. From start to finish this whole project took an hour at most and BOOM. Now I have an adorable little plant stand for all my plants. Or at least my faux plants. Either way it’s a win!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope this project gives you an idea or two for your own home. Let me know what you think of this table makeover! xo
