One of my favorite things about summer is how early the sun comes up. Few things in this world are better than the sound of birds singing on a fresh summer morning. I wait all year to enjoy it, so I try really hard to soak in this time of year and make the most of each day! I’ve been waking up early so I can go outside to one of my two favorite spots and start the day with coffee and quiet time. I wanted to share those spaces today and a little about how I start my day.
When I first wake up I try really hard not to look at my phone. I like to start the day immediately in prayer and reading the Bible. I’ve found that starting my days that way really helps get my mind and mood right. And when you pair that with fresh summer air, the sound of birds singing, and a yummy cup of coffee–there really is no better way to start the day!
We just got this outdoor table a few days ago from Walmart and already I’ve been LOVING it. It’s actually metal so it’s super sturdy, but it looks like wood. I love to sit here in the morning with a cup of coffee and write in my journal. It’s a great spot to start the day.
Another favorite spot for my morning time with the Lord is this little front patio. These are the coziest patio chairs ever! This is our second summer with them and they’re still holding up great. They really are amazing quality. I love this spot because it’s right by a lilac bush, so it smells absolutely divine. The pink and blue rug here is also from Walmart.
