Strong Like a Wildflower Launch!

You guys!! Over the last few months I’ve been working on a super special project and today I finally get to spill the beans–I designed my own shirt with Soul Honey Clothing! And it’s all about one of my favorite things in the whole world–WILDFLOWERS.

This shirt features eight hand drawn wildflowers with the words “strong like a wildflower”.

Since my childhood, wildflowers have held special meaning for me. Not only are they beautiful, but they’re resilient and strong. They can weather any storm. They adapt and flourish wherever they want, in places no one thought they could. They follow no rules or expectations–they’re just wild and free. They symbolize happiness and strength. This past year has challenged us all in new, unprecedented ways. And just like a wildflower, we’ve had to adapt, rise again and grow even in the most broken places. Being strong like a wildflower means you can conquer anything. YOU can weather any storm and rise up to share your light with the world.

When Abby, the founder of Soul Honey, first emailed me about this collab back in late January I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve been a Soul Honey fan for years now (I first shared them back in 2016!) and I love how this company is about more than just beautiful clothing–it’s really about sharing words that empower, encourage, and inspire. Abby gave me freedom to create any piece of clothing, with any design and any words. I knew almost immediately that I wanted to create something based on my love of wildflowers. I’m so happy we were able to bring that vision to life!

The coolest part about this shirt is that the wildflowers were all hand drawn. How amazing is that?! A lot of time and energy went into making sure every detail was perfect. And I really wanted they shirt to have that oversized look, with slightly fitted sleeves. After several attempts we were finally able to nail the fit and I LOVE it. Plus it’s made in America from start to finish, which is super important to me. It’s definitely made to last! This is the kind of thing you can wear over and over again for years to come.

Sizing + fit details: I’m wearing size small in these photos. It’s slightly oversized, but not enough to size down. I’d say go with your normal size. The material is 100% cotton and very similar to a lightweight t-shirt. This will make a great staple to wear year round!
