Spring Has Sprung Home Tour

I’m so excited today to be joining 9 incredibly talented bloggers on this “Spring Has Sprung” home tour! If you’re joining me from another blog on the tour, let me first start off by welcoming you to my Little Vintage Nest. I’m so happy you’re here! I hope you’re enjoying a tasty beverage or yummy treat while you travel through our little home tour. Today I am sharing our dining room, all bright and cheery for Spring. As usual, I wanted to keep things fairly simple while incorporating plenty of neutral colors and vintage goodies. Let’s get this party started.

I’ve had my vintage toolbox as the centerpiece on this table for a few months now. (You can read the full story behind it here) As many of you probably know, I am ALWAYS moving things around in our home. So it’s pretty remarkable that this piece has stayed in the same spot for so long. It just fits here perfectly and I love putting different items in it as the seasons change, like these cute little potted plants (which are from Ikea).

I absolutely love this corner of our dining room. So much rustic, vintage goodness! And the yellow vase adds a nice pop of color for Spring. Just about everything in this photo is a thrifted purchase or a found item, but that purdy cotton muslin rag wreath on the crib spring is from Bits of Love and Fabric on Esty.

Ok. Can we just talk about this porch railing for a hot minute. I’ve been looking for something like this for months and months with no luck. Then a few weeks ago I got a call from my mom. She was at an auction and came across three railings, as well as four large porch posts (you’ll see one of those in the next photo). Of course I had her scoop them all up for the low cost of $45. High. Five. I’ve moved it around to a few different places in our home, but for now this is my favorite spot! And if you’re curious about that adorable farmhouse sign, it is from House of Boys and Beauty.

The chalkboard here was a super simple project I did recently using an old window. It’s seriously one of the easiest projects ever. You can check out the tutorial here. What is it about the combination of a chalkboard and wreath? I’m obsessed. That boxwood wreath is from Target.

Sarah…Hello! I have so enjoyed browsing through your lovely Farmhouse! I do so enjoy the farmhouse feel and would like to begin the journey on my home. I already have done my master bedroom but would like to do the front room and kitchen next. I am at a loss at where to begin. Floors? Paint? Cabinets? I am in awe looking through all of the ideas you and your followers have posted. They are all so beautiful!
