You guys. I just realized that I’ve officially surpassed 500 posts here on the blog. FIVE HUNDRED!! How crazy is that?! I feel like I need some kind of celebratory cake to honor this milestone, but since I don’t have a cake right now I’ll just settle for a virtual high five. I honestly can’t believe I’ve made it to 500 posts. When I started blogging I had no clue what to expect and I never could have imagined that I would still be doing this three years later. What a journey it has been and so many lessons learned! I could ramble on about this for a while, so maybe I’ll write a post on the whole thing? Anyway, let’s move on to today’s post because it’s all about some pretty spring decor in the breakfast nook. I haven’t shared this space in a while, so I thought it would be fun to share the updates I’ve made in this cozy little nook for spring!
A while back I switched out our wooden white chairs for these black metal ones. I’ve been loving this change and they work SO much better for the kids. Clean up is easier and I really like the way they look with the white table. I bought them at a local furniture store, but here is a set of four that are very similar. I also just switched around a few of my rugs and moved this pretty light blue/gray one in here. I’m loving how it brightens up the breakfast nook for spring!
Those cute botanical prints are one of my recent Amazon finds. They’re metal and I love how they both have an antique-y vibe to them. Perfect for spring and summer and super affordable too! The olive print is here and the peach one is here. And if you’re curious about those shelves they’re actually from Target–see them here.
I put this little spring centerpiece together using an old antique cutting board I found last weekend. I love how big it is–perfect for some fresh flowers, a cute ZZ plant, and a few extra plates. And did you spot the new candle too? It’s the brand new Country Pear scent from Antique Candle Co and it’s soooooo yummy for spring!
With the time change this past weekend, it’s really starting to feel like spring is in the air. I just wish the air wasn’t freezing cold here in Colorado. But soon enough I know the temps will start to rise, the grass will start to turn green, and the flowers will bloom. I always love this time of year when mother nature starts to come back to life–there’s so much symbolism, right? It reminds me that after every dark season the sun will always come out again. Thanking God for that today and everyday!!
So glad to have you drop by the blog today!! I always love when you spend part of your day here with me. And hopefully this gives you a few ideas for your your own spring decor this year! Here’s a few other spring-y posts you might want to check out:

Beautiful spring room Sarah! First cup of coffee and your blog! Love those metal prints! Can’t wait for spring although they did say we may hit sixty here in Wisconsin on Thurs. 😀🌼 although we still have plenty of snow to melt. Well have a good week Sarah!💕💗🌷🌷🌷
thank you so much Becky!! Love when you stop by. xo
Fresh and sweet.
Good morning, Sarah! I love the shelves since you can easily change up photos and framed prints because they are leaned up against the wall-versatile! It also cozies up that wall. I also like the board you styled as you have space to display a group of decorative pieces, yet it’s easy to move off the table when it’s meal time. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on 500 posts…woot, woot!
thank you so much Emily! I can’t believe I made it to 500 posts.
Your breakfast nook looks so great! I’m so ready for spring; Washington is taking a long time to warm up too! 500 posts is definitely worth celebrating 🥳! Congratulations! I love reading your blog! I hope you have an amazing week! 😉
Colorado is taking her time here too, Suzi. We have a huge blizzard coming tomorrow!
As usual, I love the look, I love your post, and I love the symbolism you referred to. Even in the darkest of times we can anticipate light. Enjoy your day!
Amen to that, Deb! xo

Good Afternoon Sarah
I love your breakfast nook, so beautiful.
I pray your family is all well now. Time to enjoy spring if it ever decides to come…lol it is snowing here right now.
I love the cutting board you got this weekend, what an awesome idea to display it with fresh flowers.
Thank you Candy! I really appreciate that. xoxo
U are so adorable
Congratulations!! The shelves are perfect for that little pop of whatever season you are decorating for. Love it. God is good!
Where did you get the black two hook coat hanger you have in corner?
Hi Brenda. I picked that up from Magnolia Market when I visited a few years ago!
Sarah, where are your curtains from?? Love the simplicity.
Thanks Stephanie, those are from World Market.
Just curious. When styling walls, do you balance them out? I have a window in the middle of a wall. Therefore, I have two sides that I can decorate. Do you style both evenly…if that makes since? For example, 2 shelves on both sides? Or could it be two shelves on one side and a picture on the other?
Thanks!
I try to if I can, but it doesn’t always work that way–like here in our breakfast nook. I love the symmetry of doing both sides evenly, but I think it can work either way with the right pieces!
