Ok, I need to warn you about two things right now. First, this may very well be the most random Friday Favorites post I have ever shared. Really, I have a pretty odd mix of stuff to share with you guys today, but I’m just going to roll with it. Second, you might want to grab a snack or some kind of delicious beverage because this post is not only random, but it’s a long one. You might be here a while. I got a little carried away, but again–I’m just going to roll with it. Sound good?! Ok, now that we got that out of the way let’s move on. So earlier this week I realized I never really did much with our front porch for fall. I totally planned to, but I just never got around to it. Well the other day I decided to throw a few pumpkins together for a very last minute fall porch. It’s super simple and easy, the whole thing really only took me about ten minutes to put together, but I thought I’d go ahead and share it with you guys today. I also have a few favorites from the week to share too, a yummy recipe, an a little challenge for you at the end of this post. Lots to cover today, so let’s get to it!
Have you guys ever seen such a huge colander?! I sure haven’t. But I thought it would make the perfect spot for a bunch of pumpkins.
I like to get a fresh doormat with every new season. I just feel like it’s a fun and easy way to spruce up your front entry as the seasons change. I picked up this one here a few weeks ago and I love it.
Okie dokie, now that I’ve shown you my last minute fall porch, let’s move on to a few of my favorite things from the week!
So the weather has been getting super chilly here in Colorado–we’ve even already had a few days of snow. Crazy, right?! Well the other day I decided to bring out my favorite heavy throw blanket since the ones I had out for summer and fall just weren’t cutting it anymore. Well I wanted to share this blanket with you guys because it is seriously the coziest blanket in the world. Really, it’s soooooo good. We all fight over who gets to snuggle up with it in the evenings. I want to order a few more because we actually only have two really warm winter throws and one of them isn’t so pretty. Anyway, I thought you all might want to grab a few new cozy blankets for the colder months coming up too, so I put together a little roundup for you. These also make great Christmas gifts!

On Wednesday I posted my annual Christmas decor preview, you can check it out here if you missed it. Well after I posted that I actually stumbled on these amazing farmhouse holiday buckets. I was really kicking myself that I hadn’t included them in that roundup for you guys, so I wanted to share them here.
I ordered them and I already have lots of ideas on how I can use these in a few different looks I want to create for Christmas. Right now I’m thinking they’ll look great in the entryway, but there are sooooo many fun possibilities with these!
I’ve been on the lookout for new recipes to try for fall and this week I came across a super easy recipe for apple butter you can make in the crockpot. Have you ever heard of such a thing?! Sounds pretty darn amazing if you ask me. And only four ingredients! We all LOVE apple butter, so I’m definitely going to try out this recipe this weekend. If all goes well I’m planing to make it for Thanksgiving too. See the recipe here.
The last thing I want to share today is something that inspired me this week. So a few days ago I was browsing on Pinterest and I came across this image. And honestly, it stopped me in my tracks. LOVE YOURSELF MORE. It’s such a simple concept, but how many of us are our own worst critics? I know I certainly am and unfortunately it’s all too easy for me to be really hard on myself. I’m guessing a lot of you might be the same way too, so today I want to encourage you to stop focusing on your perceived flaws and think about all the reasons you are amazing. Really, go ahead and do it right now. What makes you unique? Why are YOU awesome? Stop and think about those things and truly appreciate them for a minute. I wrote a whole post on this topic a while back, so if you need a good pep talk you can read it here.
Well I’ve crammed as much as I possibly could into this post, so I better stop here. Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me! xoxo
sweet,, sweet, sweet

Why is that so hard to do, to love yourself? It’s hard but I’ll keep on trying, thanks for reminding me!
I love all that you have shown, I had three mum plants but only one has survived so have to redo the front porch!
Have a great rest of the day!
Please please post Tuesday or Wednesday for #MyHomeHideaway for your nook. I love it so much.
