Quick Playroom Makeover!

This weekend my goal was to do a quick and easy makeover on the kids’ playroom, which is actually a little nook in our bonus room in the basement. I’ve been meaning to spruce it up for a while now because it was basically the most uninviting play area ever. So yesterday I decided to get it done. I did a little speed makeover and I love how it turned out. We got curtains hung, put up a light fixture, and added cute decor and furniture. Plus I found THE most adorable mini egg chair ever! OK here’s how it looked before:

It was a sad little space. But here’s how it looks now:

So much better, right?! It’s amazing what a few little changes can to do make a space feel more inviting. Aside from hanging curtains and a light fixture, I added in a few new furniture pieces like this mini table. You can’t have a play area without a little table! I really like the look of the metal frame on this one. Plus it’s light weight, but sturdy at the same time. And the stools are just the right size. It also comes in red. See it HERE.

Ok let’s chat about this adorable mini egg chair. I randomly found this on the Walmart website a few weeks ago when I was making this roundup and I was immediately smitten with it. I’ve never seen a chair like this for kids!! It’s super affordable too and it comes in a few different colors. See it HERE. The cute cloud pillow is also from Walmart.

Any chance you remember that rattan pendant?! I had it hanging in our reading nook at the old house and I brought it with us here. I wasn’t sure where it would end up, but this is the perfect spot. And it’s less than $70! That really added a lot to this space. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this speedy little playroom makeover.
