A few weeks ago we decided to add a little pop of GREEN to our kitchen. We debated how much green to add, but finally settled on the hood, island, and the little arched cabinet. The island and cabinet were already painted a deep navy blue when we moved in, which I was never super crazy about to be honest, so we figured let’s mix it up and try something new. Here’s how it looked before:

This color is called Lemon Leaves by Magnolia Home paint, which is a dark and rich sage green. It’s actually the same color we used in my little office. It’s crazy how much different this color looks in the two different spaces! The light really changes the tone and depth of this paint color.
Last minute I decided to do green paint in this little spot as well. This is right off our kitchen in the laundry room/coffee bar/mudroom area. I’m so glad I did because it really pulls the two spaces together.
The hood almost looks darker in some of these photos, but I’m pretty sure it’s just the lighting playing tricks with the color. It’s crazy how this color can change in color from morning to night–it’s defiantly a bit of a chameleon. But I still love how it turned out and added some much needed warm here with all the white!
