Very exciting things are happening around here. You guys, we got a water softener yesterday. Yep. I’m now the proud owner of a metal tank that softens water. And you know what? I’m giddy about it. I guess you’ve reached a boring level of adulthood when a water softener is exciting. But really, we have the hardest water in the world and I was just tired of dealing with it. So we had a softener installed yesterday and my skin already feels better. And my hair too. It’s fabulous. Anyway, enough rambling! Today I’m excited to share our cozy Christmas living room. This little space is seriously the happiest room in our house right now and I just love how it came together this year. I always let the kids help me decorate the living room and it’s fun to see what they come up with–they’re actually really creative!
Our Cozy Christmas Living Room

The Christmas tree here in the corner is officially known at the “kids’s tree”. I let them decorate it however they want each year and it’s fun for them to have a tree they can call their own. And it’s only $35! I love it how it looks paired with this large wicker basket. The wreaths on the barn doors are only ten bucks each–see them HERE.

How stinking cute are these pillows?! I found pretty much all of the pillows in this room from Walmart (I purchased everything online and it came with free shipping!). Those adorable reindeer pillows with the tassels are currently on sale for $8!! EIGHT DOLLARS. I seriously loooooove them and I can’t believe they’re so affordable. The red knit pillows are also from Walmart!

It’s hard to believe we’ve had these recliners from Walmart over a year now. I’ve had a ton of questions on IG lately about how they’re holding up and I have to say we still LOVE them. They’re so comfy and they actually spot clean pretty well. Anyway I highly recommend if you’re looking for a good recliner that doesn’t break the bank.

Well I hope you enjoyed this little tour of our cozy Christmas living room all spruced up and snazzy for the holidays!! And hopefully this gives you a few ideas for your own home! xoxo

Thanks to Walmart for partnering with me on today’s post.
It is beautiful and love the pops of red and green this year.
So pretty with the pops of red!
Love it all!
Glad to see some seasonal colors!
Good Morning Sarah
Your living room is just beautiful. I love everything especially the stockings.
You always know how to put everything together so that if flows in the most gorgeous way
Loving the red and green! You make everything look so good!
Such great, simple Christmas décor! I do have one suggestion, but you may have a good reason for not doing it. I would scoot your rug under the sofa and chairs about halfway. It needs to tie everything together a little more instead of everything being individual pieces.
Sarah, your living room looks so cozy! As others have said, you know how to put things together!!
I also love the pops of red. A very welcoming room!

Love your Living room Sarah. Love the pops of color. I love those reindeer pillows. Thanks Sarah, have a wonderful day. xoxo
thanks so much Becky!! xo
This room looks fabulous! I love the recliner. Are the ottoman’s from Walmart as well? If not, could you tell me where they are from?
Also, LOVE LOVE LOVE the sliding miniature barn doors to disguise the tv.
Hi Cherish, those are from Arhaus!
Love it! I think what you accomplished is beautiful simplicity. I love that. It is the just right look, not overdone or loud, and not bland, either.
I don’t live in a massive house myself and some ideas I see online can’t apply to my home. I see these big dining table centerpiece styles for 10 seat tables, and I can’t decorate like that with my 4 seat table. And I can’t get a big table; I love my little table and there is only room for it. I also can’t do the kind of look that is Christmas everywhere with 7 ft trees in every room and a giant kitchen that looks like Mrs. Claus is in her bakery. I don’t have a huge eat in kitchen. Mine is bigger than a galley but not exactly large. 🙂
You show real ideas I can really DO in my house, a
Love ur Christmas decor. So cozy. Where did u get the Christmas stockings and how did u hang them on ur TV console?
