Our Christmas Home Tour: Part Two

Welcome back for part two of my very first Christmas home tour. Earlier this week I shared part one, which included our living room, breakfast nook, and kitchen. Today I’m excited to share our dining room and front room with you. Plus I’m squeezing in a few photos of our bedroom. My goal this year was to keep Christmas decor simple, while incorporating lots of natural elements and vintage pieces. It’s been so fun decorating for the holidays–especially since this will be our first Christmas here. Enjoy!

My mom found this old vintage mailbox at an antique shop for me. I actually waited to put it out because that lovely green color just screams CHRISTMAS.

Now moving into our front room, aka the room with our Christmas tree. Yay!

Little Vintage Nest Christmas Tree

I’m big on tradition, so I alway let the Christmas tree be the kids’ domain. We let our son, and now our daughter, decorate the tree how they like it–just as I did when I was a kid. We have several heirloom ornaments, crafted ornaments, and so many other random ones that have special meaning to us. The tree becomes like a little beacon of memories. I know it’s not the fanciest looking tree, but they’re sure proud of it and that what matters the most to me.

I adore this old, perfectly worn yellow bench.

Don’t you love this old coke crate? Fun fact: I found it at a garage sale for $1 a few years back!

And now just a few of our bedroom.

This vintage tray is from Magnolia Market.

That just about wraps it up. Oh wait, I have to show all our snow. Our front yard has at least 12 inches. Gotta love Colorado!

Ok.

Now I’m done.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with the ones you love the most!

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea
shell aand gave it to my 4 year old daughter and saod “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” Shee put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside andd it pinched her ear.

She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely
off topic but I had to tell someone!

First of all I would like to say great blog! I had
a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear
your head prior to writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out.
I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to
15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out
how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

I purchased a theme that was “fully responsive” which means it works on all platforms. Maybe try upgrading to a new theme and see if that helps. Good luck!
