New & Improved Blog Design!
Well my friends, today is a very exciting Monday because my blog just got a major facelift this weekend and I am so pumped to share it with you all! I actually had another post planned for today, but I figured it would be fun to just take a second and acknowledge the new fancy schmancy look around here. What do you think?! I’ve been dreaming about doing a little refresh like this for a while now and I just kept putting it off because it’s a TON of work. Annnnnnd I’m not the most tech-savvy gal around, which tends to make things more challenging. But with the rebrand, I decided now would be the perfect time to do it. So I buckled down this weekend and finally got it done. I spent hours and hours working on it and I think the ol’ bloggity blog is looking pretty darn good now!
My goal with this makeover was to freshen things up and make it easier to find content on my blog. For example, I added a page all about my DIY/tutorial posts. You can find that in the upper menu. I also updated the home tour page, which you can find in the menu as well. And I even made a few changes to the about page, including updating it with new family photos which was long overdue. There’s also a convenient search box on the right sidebar that allows you to search for any keyword on my blog, and you can even search by categories in the box below that. Pretty snazzy, right? Hopefully both of those features are really helpful if you’re looking for something specific!
You can also find sources for my content much easier now. The Shop My Posts page is accessible from a few different places on the blog and I also updated my home style page as well. You can also find any shopping roundup I’ve ever done over the past three years here.
There are still a few changes I need to work on, like adjusting the images to show larger in the posts, but overall things are about 90% finished. So if you have a few extra minutes today, I hope you browse around the new site and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear it! And I’ll be honest with you, my eyeballs literally hurt from staring at the computer so much over these past few days, so I’m sure there are a few errors too–let me know if you find any, ok?!
I want to thank you all again for the support throughout this rebrand. I know it probably feels like a lot of changes, but I want to reiterate that I’ll still be sharing the same content around here–DIY posts, decor, our fixer upper journey, random shenanigans– so I hope you’ll continue to stick with me. There is much more fun to be had! This little blog has truly been my happy place over the last (almost) three years and I’m so grateful that I have this space to share my passions and love of home with all of you. It’s been such a blessing in my life. And my hope is that this space brings a bit of sunshine and light into your day too! xo

Just painted my front door same color as yours and I love it!
Quick question I ordered the antique candle works 16 oz jar candles after your suggestion and have been very disappointed as they won’t stay lit longer than 15/20 min! Have you ever had this issue? They have burned straight down the center..

The new format of the blog looks beautiful! I love the leafy image and the font of your blog name. One little minor thing I noticed, which may already be on your radar, is that the emoticon (not sure if that’s the word) on my browser tab is no longer a pretty butterfly, it comes up as a grid.
