OK, first off–it feels like forrrrrrrever since I blogged about our entryway. Seriously, I can’t even remember the last time I shared this space. Maybe Christmas? Last fall? I have no idea. I could look it up to know for sure, but I honestly don’t feel like doing that right now so we’re just going to roll with it. Either way I know it’s been a long time. And to be real, that’s mostly because this little entryway really frustrates me. It’s very narrow and there’s not room for much more than a chair or small bench. It’s just always been one of those annoying spots that nothing fits in very well, so I’ve kind of neglected this area for a while. BUT not anymore! After months and months of searching for the perfect cabinet for the entryway I FINALLY found it. It’s not too big. Not too small. And as Goldilocks would say it’s juuuuust right. I styled it up and I can’t wait to show you guys how it looks!
All right, you’re probably thinking what’s the big deal about this cabinet. I mean, it doesn’t look like much, right? But it’s honestly EXACTLY what I’ve been searching for. I wanted a simple cabinet here to style pretty things and add more interest to this small entryway. I remember last year at Christmas wishing I had a cabinet like this to decorate with tiny trees and Christmas-y things. But I couldn’t find one that fit–most were too big. But this little guy is the perfect size!
That vintage suitcase is one of my favorite things, but I never really share it here on the blog. My mom found it at a yard sale for me a few years ago and I love it. It even still has the luggage tag (which says Denver!) on it. I imagine that’s from back in the day when you didn’t bother with security and just walked straight out to the airplane sitting on the tarmac!
The Sweet Lemon candle, which is the most amazing scent for summer, is from Antique Candle Works!
I picked up this wooden tray at a local shop and I am obsessed with it. Doesn’t it make the cutest little garden caddy? I love it. And it’s the perfect size to sit on top of this cabinet.
I had so much fun styling this entryway. It definitely has a strong summer vibe going on right now and I can’t wait to mix it up as the seasons change. Although if I’m being honest, I would be 100% happy with summer decor all year round. Have I told you guys how much I love summer?! Because I do. A lot.
Thanks so much for stopping in and checking out my new purdy entryway. Here’s a few other posts you might want to hop over to:

Perfect!
Thanks for stopping in Ann!
Your new cabinet is adorable! I only wish you had shown more of the way the feet are on it. You did a beautiful job of decorating as well. I love the tray and everything else really. Where did you get that white pot? It’s really cute. It all goes very well together. Honestly, I am not at all a summer person but I do love gardening things very much and this just fits the bill. Great job!
Oh and I forgot to mention that I went to the candle shop and I think I’m in love…lol!
Oh Shirley, those candles are AMAZING! I’ll be sharing more on them soon. Plus that is the sweetest little company EVER. The owner is so kind!
That little white pot is actually from Ikea! I got it several years ago.
Looks great!
Thanks Donna! xo
The cabinet looks great! Just curious… Is all of the greenery real or faux?
Thanks Kathy! It’s all faux except for the pot on the bottom shelf. It’s real and STILL ALIVE. It’s a miracle.
You nailed it……. perfectly styled! 🙂
What a perfect find! That’s going to be such a fun thing to arrange with the seasons. And those candles are the best! I started ordering those when you had a post about them several months ago. Thanks for sharing!!
Oh good!! So glad you’re enjoying the candles. I love them and that is THE sweetest company ever.
It looks so good with all the happy summer sitting on it. It is very hard to find small cabinets for small areas. I have looked for a long time for a small cabinet for my bathroom it’s long and narrow.
Yes! You know the struggle well then Sue. Good luck on your search, it will pop up eventually!
You are right – it is perfect! You amaze me at your styling talent too. Wowza, I love it. And I cannot believe how big your kids have gotten! I would swear it was only a couple of months ago I was praying for an easy delivery and a healthy baby girl! Anyway, everything is beautiful (as usual).
Aw thank you Cindy!! You are too sweet to me. And yes, doesn’t it seem like the baby was just born like two weeks ago?! And here she is about to be one. Can’t be possible!!
Sarah, Isn’t it funny how one little space an give you So much trouble. You just know when it’s not right. I’ve had a wall in living room that I have played with for a time, finally got it right.! Your shelf is so darn cute and how you styled it. Love it? Thanks again you make e smile.
Yes totally Becky! But it’s so gratifying to finally get it right. Glad you figured out your living room, that’s an important space!
Looks great! I am struggling with creating my “entry” area because we walk straight into the living room with no real “entry”! However, my wall looks like yours minus the fireplace so my challenge is it is long. I would like to incorporate a place to sit AND a buffet or table. Any suggestions would be so appreciated!
You could do a little DIY bar table with vintage corbels! Then put bar stool at it for extra seating.
love it, good job as always, look forward to seeing what you are doing and am inspired, hope your mom is recovering
Thank you for asking Deanne! She is doing MUCH better and making progress every day.
Okay, seriously….this is one of my MOST FAVORITE spots that you show. I know, it’s a small, little simple area. But you always style it up just right! It’s perfect……Again! Happy Summer!
Aw wow! Thanks Suzanne, so glad you like it!! xo
Hey there! Just wondering where you got your hooks from? Looks adorable!
Those are from Hobby Lobby. I just spray painted them black!
Why did you take all your really cute stuff off of the fireplace?
Oh I move stuff around constantly! I just liked it simple and clean for this look.
I want that tray!
Isn’t that tray amazing?! I wish I had a link to share with you.
the shelf is absolutely adorable and I love the tray. I like the simplicity of your designs. You are so blessed with talent.
