Well I’m happy to report that we have all recovered from the flu. Hallelujah!!! We are on the up and up over here and it feels amazing. I can’t even begin to describe how awful it was to have all three kids sick at the same time. And not just with a little cold. No, that flu was wicked stuff. The high fevers for days on end is what made it so hard. I hate nothing more than seeing my kiddos sick, so it was rough. But thank the good Lord above we are all healthy again and life is back to normal around here. Well, normal-ish. My son is still on Christmas break, so we are still in holiday mode over here. But that’s a good thing because we all needed a few extra days to recuperate. Anyway, how have you guys been?? I hope this first week of 2018 has been good to you so far. I think most of us fall into two categories this time of year: either you are motivated and bright-eyed to start the new year, or you’re foggy headed and in a post-Christmas funk. One or the other. Thankfully I always feel a surge of energy in January, so I’m over here planning out goals and trying to get my life organized. It’s been good, because I ended 2017 like a hot mess. Anyway, today for Friday Favorites I want to share a few fun things as well as some plans I have for our living room. I also found a couple of amazing sales! But first up is a new jacket that I’ve been absolutely loving lately.

My husband got me this amazing leather jacket (it’s currently sold out, but this one is almost identical) for our anniversary and I just have to share it with you guys because I love it so much. It’s actually faux leather, but it’s just about the best jacket I’ve ever had. It has lots of cool details that you can’t really see well in this photo, but you can go here if you want to get a better look. I looooooooove this and I know I’ll be wearing it for years to come. Good job hubby. You get a star!
My mother in law gave me this gorgeous vintage inspired white pitcher for Christmas. When I unwrapped it I really thought it was an antique. It felt heavy like ironstone and the detailing was simple, but GORGEOUS. I was pretty darn shocked when she told me she got it from Amazon!
I just love the simple beauty of a classic, white pitcher. Don’t you?? I want to start collecting them, so I just ordered this one yesterday. And while I was browsing I came across several more that are beautiful and super affordable!

Since it’s January and all, I’ve been brainstorming some goals for 2018 and thinking a lot about what I want to accomplish this year. I know it’s a bit cliche, but I think it’s really important for us all to have really specific goals we can work towards. Even if they’re just small things, we need something to drive us forward and push us to be better each day. Right?! Call me a dork, but I love getting out my favorite planner and writing down a list of goals for myself, especially at the first of each month. My process is pretty simple–I start by doing a brain dump where I basically write down everything I want to accomplish so I can start to sort through all I want to do. Then I begin breaking those things down into really specific goals with actionable steps and timelines, categorizing the goals as I go. It’s actually a cool process. Have you done something like this yet? If not you totally should. Even just doing this for 30 minutes can be really powerful!
Living Room Makeover Plans
So I’ve been dreaming of a living room makeover for a while now and I’ve had my eye on this gorgeous tufted sofa for a loooooong time. Well I just saw that it’s currently on sale for 50% off (eeeeek!!!) and I am really considering ordering it. It’s smaller than the sofa we have now, but I think it would be a good fit for our small living room. And I’ve never seen the price for this so low. Oh boy…what to do?!
I also found a couple of great coffee tables that are 60% off at World Market right now. I’ve looked at a few different options, but I really love this one with the rustic, industrial vibe. Our living room is pretty small, so I have to be careful with sizes, but I think this would work really nicely. I am so excited to do this little makeover. I just need to start making some final decisions so I can move forward. I’m way too indecisive!
While I was browsing for sofas I came across this insanely gorgeous farmhouse style settee and it’s currently on a major sale at 60% off. OMG you guys, how gorgeous is this thing??! I have no reason to buy this, but I realllllllly want it. It’s SO beautiful and I think it would be stunning in a dining room, or den, or living room. Maybe even your bedroom. Maybe your Office. ANYWHERE.
Well that a wrap on today’s Friday Favorites. Thanks so much for stopping by and hanging out with me for a bit–I always appreciate it! I hope you have a fabulous weekend and I will see you back here bright and early Monday morning! xo
Dear Sarah~ So happy you are all rid of that nasty flu~ God is good! Lookin’ very stylish in that new jacket too. 🙂 Love your new pitcher and how you styled it in the cupboard. Really love that settee too…as always a great post. Have a fun weekend!

Have a great weekend!
Happy you are all feeling better. Hope the New Year brings you health and happiness. Look forward to seeing your post and all the arranging you do. I love to re-arrange everything in my home, it always makes it look fresh and interesting. Good luck on buying a sofa!
Happy New Year and thanks for the great ideas. This time of year I am always looking at my house and reevaluating, deciding how to change things up a bit. I love the settee, the style and size. I bought paint yesterday so now I actually have to get busy!
Ooo I love that white pitcher! I’ve been looking for something to put my antique rolling pins in, do you think it would be wide enough for 3 of them?
oh definitely not! It would hold one probably. Unless they’re really small!
