Let’s Go Antiquing

Ok, first I want to thank you all for the incredibly kinds words and excitement over my candle announcement on Monday. I am so grateful for this community and just honored to have so much support from you all. I don’t know if I’ll have time to get back to every single comment and message, but THANK YOU for being excited with me–it truly means so much! Now, how about a little virtual antiquing trip?! I actually went antiquing with my mom a few weeks ago and we visited a couple of my favorite shops. I took photos along the way, so I thought it would be fun to share those with you guys today. Antique shops always inspire me and give me SO many ideas for styling my own vintage finds, so I hope this inspires you too!

Well I hope you enjoyed this little virtual antiquing trip! I love so many of these displays and like I said earlier, I always feel so inspired when I spend time walking around antique stores. I get tons of ideas for my own home and it definitely sparks my creativity. I know many of you love vintage finds like I do, so I hope you were inspired too.

I also rounded up a few vintage finds from Etsy here too! xoxo

Wow Sarah, not sure if those pics were of one vendor or shop but what an amazing place! I wish I had
a shop near me like that. Very clean and items displayed well. I don’t like to go into antique stores or malls that when you go to reach for a piece, you’re afraid of taking everything around it with you! So I can honestly say I have never seen such a gorgeous place like that! OMG, I would live there and buy one of everything!!
Can you share where you were or if this was one particular antique store? Well . . . . . more coffee and
a busy day ahead, everyone enjoy!

Hi Sarah, I love your blog, the DIY’s, and the antique shopping. I love your white sofa, I bought one but it is constantly dirty. I should have bought a slip covered sofa from PB or C&B. Do you know of anyone that sells slip covers that actually look like it was made for my sofa i.e., it looks like yours rather than some ill-fitting stretchy cover with no shape? I am so disappointed in my couch. Extremely comfortable but always looks stained and grungy as if the dirt somehow is attracted to the sofa.

Oh that’s too bad! I’m sorry to hear that Sherry. I honestly don’t know of any good slipcovers. I bought our white sofas from Ikea and they come with slipcovers. You might check there?

  • Took the kids for a little โ€œhikeโ€ last night at one of our favorite spots & it was so much fun ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Colorado, Iโ€™m sorry for all the things I said when it was winter. Youโ€™re pretty cool after all ๐Ÿคฃ PS: over on the blog today Iโ€™m sharing a few ways I manage stress & anxiety when life gets crazy. Iโ€™m also sharing this easy outfit idea from @backcountry, including that awesome sling bag + those sunglasses. • Weโ€™re on day 3 of the kitchen tile reno, so this little space in the basement is literally the only clean area in our whole house right now ๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ˜† But theyโ€™re making progress in the kitchen + I know it will all be worth it soon. Plus there are some major perks that come with having your refrigerator in the living room. That sandwich I made from the recliner last night was delicious ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‰ PS: those black sticking stripe pillows on the sofa are from one of my favorite small shops ever @withlavenderandgrace. I chatted about them in stories today + my coupon sarahjoy15 is still good for 15% off ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  • Just a normal Sunday around here ๐Ÿฆ–๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ My whole house is currently in shambles + we had a ferocious t-rex on the loose. Seriously. How was this my life today?! ๐Ÿคฃ๐ŸคฃWatch the shenanigans in stories! http://liketk.it/2DmQt #liketkit @liketoknow.it
  • Just over here dreaming about how my kitchen is going to look with this new tile ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป That sample there isnโ€™t exactly what weโ€™re choosing, but itโ€™s super similar. What do you think?! Demo starts TOMORROW & I canโ€™t wait to see that old 1983 tile go away. Our little kitchen is going to have a fresh new look!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป http://liketk.it/2DjUO #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKhome
  • Iโ€™ve somehow managed to keep all of these flowers alive since MAY, which is basically a miracle given my track record with flowers ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป You better believe Iโ€™ll be using this photo as proof next time my husband tells me silly things like I can keep plants alive. BOOM. My plant lady status is at a whole new level now ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐ŸŒฟhttp://liketk.it/2DfVS #liketkit @liketoknow.it
