So I’ll be honest with you right now. I’ve pretty much given up on shopping in “real life”. You know what I mean, like actually going to the mall or some other store and wandering around until I find what I’m looking for. It’s not exactly my favorite thing to do, because I usually have all of my little munchkins in tow, which means I’m getting pulled in three directions at any given time. Someone is typically upset about something, needing to go to the bathroom, or begging for some random toy they spotted. It’s controlled chaos really. SO that means I pretty much do the vast majority of our shopping online. (I even order our groceries online!) It’s just so much easier, I’m not rushed AND I get to do it from my couch, which is the best part. Well a couple of weeks ago I was doing a little online shopping for some new chairs for our front room. I wanted to find something to balance that space a bit because it felt lopsided with our settee and the big oversized chair. Anyway, I found a set of gorgeous armchairs on eBay that I fell in love with. They just arrived and I am so excited to share them with you guys today!
Aren’t they so darn pretty?! I wanted something simple, yet classic and I thought these were the perfect fit. (You can see them HERE.) These are a great size for this space and they really do balance out the room like I wanted. Plus they’re really affordable, which is always a good thing when you’re on a budget. I found them in the Overstock store on eBay and they came in a set of three–I got the two chairs and the matching side table in a package deal.
I’ve probably said it a few 100 times now, but this room is my favorite to style and decorate. It’s full of some of my favorite antiques, like the old card catalog and that black vintage door in the corner. And I’ve been working in here a lot lately, so it really is the closest thing I have to an office. Plus it’s usually always bright and sunny, which of course makes me happy. I LOVE this room.
I’ll be honest, it wasn’t until a few months ago that I realized how HUGE eBay is. Apparently there are over 1 billion listings available at any give time. ONE BILLION. Can you believe that? It’s mind blowing. And over 80% of the items are brand new and available with the “buy it now” option, which is pretty cool because there’s no hassle with bidding for something you want. You can literally find just about anything your little heart desires and there’s even a daily deals page, which is loaded up with tons of awesome stuff at majorly discounted prices. Plus most of it ships free and we all know that free shipping is the best thing in the entire world. Well other than donuts, but that’s another story.
Well I hope you enjoyed this little look at our updated front room and I’d love to hear what you think of my new chairs. Thank you soooooo much for dropping in today and spending time with me here on the blog, you know how much I truly appreciate it! xo
Here’s a few other eBay finds you might want to check out:
This post is sponsored by eBay, but all opinions are my own. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that make this blog possible!
Are they really beige and brown? They look more gray and cream. I find this is what’s hard ordering online. Color is never what is pictured.
I definitely think they’re more cream colored for sure. I’ll be sharing a video later in my stories if you follow me on Instagram and that might give you a better look at the color!
I don’t know how mothers did it way back before the internet. Did they just not take their kids or only go when grandma could watch them? We have two sets of friends that have 10 kids. Yes, 10! And both moms are so calm and collected. That was not the path the Lord chose for me… thankfully. LOL. I’m good with my 3.
Love the chairs – actually the entire room! It’s all perfect.
I totally agree. And oh my goodness, 10 kids! I so admire people that can do that. I feel like transitioning to 3 has been so much harder than I thought it would be–I can’t imagine 10. Plus we have no help nearby, so there’s no dropping anyone off at Grandma’s house for a quick run to the grocery store. It’s not easy, that’s for sure. Thanks for stopping by Cindy! xo
Love the chairs, so pretty and the living room is stunning.
Thanks so much Marty!! xo
Love his room. I’m old enough to be your mom, but the value of neatness and vintage are my delicacies too. I read and pinpoint the details and layering effects. Thank you for your insights.
Aw thank you Debbie! I really appreciate your kind words.

Love the room! Where is the coffee table from?
I love the room and what you did with it. I would never leave your house if I lived there. You have great ideas. Can you tell me where you got the chandelier hanging in the hall to the left of your reading nook. I saw it in another picture and never asked. Do you mind letting me know.
I purchased these chairs because of your post! We were looking for something to finish off our home and these were affordable. Ebay even had a $50 off coupon. Thank you so much!
I love the chairs! The style fits perfectly! I am looking for similar but I want something the size of wing back chairs. I think I’ve decided to makeover a pair that I already have. I am in love with your couch pillows that look like chenille…can you tell me where you found those or what they are called or who they are made by?
Hi Shirley! That pillow is from one of my favorite shops, With Lavender and Grace. You can find her gorgeous chenille pillows here: https://shopwlg.com/collections/linen-chenille
