Yesterday afternoon I had a few minutes to myself while the kiddos were doing quiet time and so I randomly decided to move a couple things around in the dining room. I had music playing, fresh coffee, and it was just so nice to have a little time to play with decor just for the fun of it. That’s always one of my favorite things to do, but I haven’t had a lot of extra time for that this summer with all the big projects we’ve had going on. But I’ve sure missed it! Anyway, I ended up with a pretty cute little farmhouse style dining room cabinet, so I figured why not share that with you lovely folks today!
This wooden sign has been in our home for a few years now and I have to say it’s of my favorites. I just love the simple reminder to make the most of each day we are given. I pass by this sign on my way to the kitchen every morning and I always love seeing it. The shop that made this is no longer in business, but here’s a very similar option.
I don’t know what it is about little stacks of white dishes and bowls, but I love them. It’s like the epitome of farmhouse decor, right?! I think so. I had so much fun moving all of these little stacks around until I finally settled on this look. The vintage distressed cake stand is from one of my favorite shops in our hometown, but I also found it on Amazon here. And same with these adorable berry bowls–those are on Amazon here too!
I know it probably sounds silly, but it was so good for my soul to take some time for myself yesterday to play around with this corner in our dining room. No reason other than just because I enjoy it. Unfortunately I don’t get to do that nearly as much as I’d like these days, but it sure is nice when it happens. Anyway, I hope this gives you an idea or two for your own home! I I also rounded up a few Amazon finds if you’re obsessed with white dishes and enamelware like meeeeeeee! xoxo

Your dining nook area looks great! Also your kitchen.
I am same way always moving things around and putting them in different spots. So much fun and the spaces feel fresh again. 🙂
I love the sign in your nook. You don’t mention where it comes from.

I mentioned that it’s from a small shop on Etsy, but they’re not in business anymore. But I did find a similar one: https://rstyle.me/n/dqiwxnb6hgf
