Evening Summer Patio + 4th of July Food Ideas

Goooooood morning and happy Monday!! Sorry I’m getting this post up a bit late today. I actually meant to finish it last night, but I was so dang tired I could barely keep my eyes open after we got the kids to bed. But here we are! Better late than never, right!? I think so. Anyway, today I wanted to share our back patio seating area. I took a few photos the other night just as the sun was starting to go down and it was so cozy. I also have a few fun and festive 4th of July food ideas for you guys too!

If you were around last summer you might remember when we did a makeover on this area. Before it was just an empty dirt pit, but last year we did a total overhaul back here and now it’s one of our favorite places to hang out on a summer night.

Our furniture is all from Joss & Main, but I can’t seem to find it anymore. However, the fire pit is still online and you can see it here. We got this last year and we LOVE it. The outer frame doesn’t get hot when it’s on and I love the rustic look. Highly recommend if you looking for a good propane fire pit.

This is such a cozy spot to hang out with the kids and make s’mores. It’s basically like another living room out here and I’m so glad we decided to invest in this space. It was well worth it! PS: Can you believe we’re only a few days away from the 4th of July?? I usually don’t decorate much for the 4th, but I do enjoy some festive red, white, and blue food! Here’s a few easy and fun recipes I found:

4th of July Firecracker Dogs

Red, White and Blue Chocolate Cookies

Patriotic Yogurt Bites

4th of July Caprese Salad

American Flag Vegetable Tray

4th of July Fruit Kabobs

Grilled Chipotle Lime Corn

4th of July Mini Cheesecakes

Festive Strawberry Trifle

Sparkling Red, White and Blue Sangria

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!! Also be sure to check out this post if you’re looking for some easy 4th of July decor ideas. Ok, that’s it for me today. See you back here soooooooon. xo

  • Literally can’t stop smiling today because I’m SO excited to finally spill the beans about my candle with @antiquecandleco_ 😍😍 After months of working to find the perfect scent, we are thrilled to share that WARM CARAMEL CRUMBLE by Sarah Joy is coming this fall! πŸ‚πŸ™ŒπŸ» This candle is all about warm, gooey caramel, cinnamon-spiced maple, rich vanilla & baked green apples. It’s basically like heaven in a jar & I CANNOT wait for you to have this bake-y goodness in your home this fall! πŸ₯§πŸ‘πŸ»
  • I finally got the botanical prints + old door project finished πŸŒΏπŸ™ŒπŸ» What do you guys think?! It was kinda tricky figuring out where to hang these prints, but so many of you voted for this spot in stories & I think it’s perfect πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» The floral prints are from @walmart & I LOVE them. I have an obsession with botanical artwork & these are my new favorite. This is all on the blog today & I also linked up a bunch of other botanical prints from Walmart here: http://liketk.it/2Ea9s #liketkit @liketoknow.it #ad #LTKhome
  • Spent the day in jammies, snuggling my sick kiddos + watching all of their favorite movies 😍 I hate seeing them sick, especially since we’re only a few days into the new school year, but I sure do love these simple days when they need me the most. Nothing else matters more than this right here β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ» http://liketk.it/2E8FG #liketkit @liketoknow.it
  • Did a little switcheroo in my vanity area & added in a new rug πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ˜ I actually took it from the back deck, so it’s technically not new, but it sure adds a lot of pizazz to this spot, right?! Much more cozy now πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Do you move things around in your home from one room to another? I do it all the time & it’s an easy way to freshen things up without spending any money! http://liketk.it/2E70b #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKhome
  • My little kitchen island is one of my favorite things in our home + I always get so many questions about it. It was actually made from reclaimed barn wood & we’ve had it over 10 years now 😍😍 I bought it when we moved into our first home & it’s been with us ever since. I kinda have an emotional connection to it nowβ€”it’s been through so much with us. Do you have furniture like that?? I’ll probably still have this island in my kitchen when I’m an old granny! πŸ‘΅πŸ»β€οΈ
