Helllllo there and good morning sunshine! I’m sorry it’s been a little quiet around here the past few days. I honestly feel like every day I’m running a race and there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. It’s crazy town over here. But the house is really coming along now and it’s slowly but surely starting to feel like home. I’m still trying to figure out how to make things work with the furniture we already have, which is a little tricky because it’s obviously a brand new space and the “needs” of this house are different from the old house. But I did pick up a couple of new chairs from Target yesterday and I’m loving how they look in our living room!

These chairs are perfect for this room! I really wanted to do two matching arm chairs here and these are just the right size. And the cushion is super deep and wide, so it’s actually really comfortable too. I love them! I paired them with this woven storage ottoman, which is also from the Studio McGee collection.

I just added this French inspired mirror to this corner and it really made all the difference here!! It’s such a pretty piece and it gives this corner the perfect amount of texture and warmth. The little bench/ottoman here is another Target find but I can’t seem to find it online for some reason!

This corner here with the egg chair has been a work in progress. It already looks different now, but I snapped this photo a few days ago when it was looking extra cozy. The nice thing about this living room is that it’s large enough for fun little cozy spots like this!

This little seating area next to the foyer had been a real humdinger for me lately. I can’t figure out if it should be a dining room or sitting room! I keep going back and forth on it, but my original goal was to make it a cozy reading spot that we could use if the kids are watching a movie. Once we get the basement finished (it’s finally back on track!) we’ll have more space for them to play downstairs, so maybe I’ll change it to a dining room then. Who knows! Also how stunning is that light beaded fixture??! It’s from Arhaus and it’s basically like a work of art. I looooooove it.
mirror // storage cabinet // chairs // rug // light fixture // lamp

Well there’s just a quick look at a few of my favorite cozy spots in our home! I am SO excited for the basement to be finished because that whole area is going to be extra cozy and fun. Hopefully it’s done by mid to late October! We’re also in the process of putting up bamboo blinds in the whole house, so that is going to really add a lot of warmth and coziness too. I’ll share an update and photos on that soon!
Hope you have a super day! xoxo

Your house is too beautiful for words!!!!!!
ah you’re so kind, thank you April!
Where did you get your fig tree?

Love all of it so much! I also love where you landed on with the little seating area – looks great! 🙂
thank you! I love that space as a sitting area.
That’s why I love your style. Your spaces always look so pretty but cozy and inviting. A place that you can truly live in and not just a “showroom”!
I really appreciate that, thank you Ramona! Def always want to keep it cozy and inviting here!
Your house is so dang beautiful and I’m loving following along as you make it your home! 😍

Ah that makes me so happy!! That makes it all worth it. xoxo
I can’t believe your dining room table wasn’t the first thing in your new house. It’s beautiful!! Can’t wait to see how you use it.
Girl I tried! It was one of the first things I brought in, but it was too big for our breakfast nook! 🙁
We also just bought a New home with A potential dining room/sitting room/game area… just can’t figure out which would be more useful!! Fully carpeted so may shy away from dining room. I’ve been looking at different blogs/Pinterest ideas. It’ll all be out together soon!! Right?!?!
oh it’s a tough choice! I’m right there with you, Parilee!
Where did you get your fig tree?
The one by the window is real actually and I got it from Home Depot!
You have such a great ability to make the rooms look wonderful and cozy!
thank you Sherry, you are so kind!
Your home is just beautiful. How do you keep your white furniture & rugs so clean? Is there a secret I’m missing? Thank you!
haha they’re not really that clean! We do a lot of stain remove around here 🙂
I absolutely love getting inspiration from you! Your home always looks amazing no matter how you choose to rearrange it.
Thank you Britney, I am so happy you get inspiration here!!
Love it and also love how the light comes in the room. I could never be depressed in your home.
yes! So grateful for the natural light in this house.
Love all of your new changes! Hope you’re enjoying your home
ah thank you!!! xoxo
Love the new spaces you’ve created! I would like to try select blinds but kind of scared to spend so much on something custom that can’t be returned. Curious to see how it goes for you. I know of another blogger that has had a good experience.
We had the same blinds at the old house and loved them! Def worth the money in my opinion.
About a year ago I changed our formal dining room to a comfy reading area. I would never change back. I love your reading area💕
oh that’s so good to know!! I love it as a sitting area.
It’s looking so homey and comfortable. Enjoy the new home.
Thank you Anna, it’s def coming along!
Awesome cozy spots Sarah! Love
Love all the sweet areas. So pretty. The Target chairs are nice too!
Thank you sweet Becky!
It is fun seeing what you are doing!
Of all the spaces you’ve shown us, the little seating area is my favorite! I love the texture, the small hints of black and that chandy! the little black metal cabinet looks perfect there! And it looks finished, like it’s been there for awhile, which is hard to pull off when you’ve only just move in. Bravo!
I love how bright and airy your home is yet warm at the same time! That’s pretty amazing! What is the color of your walls?
It all looks very nice.
