Cozy Farmhouse Fall Living Room Tour
Well, it happened. I caved. I couldn’t resist the urge to decorate for fall any longer. Football is back, the air is getting cooler, and all the things are pumpkin flavored. Despite the fact that I’m still sad to see my beloved summer go, I’m actually getting excited about a new season. It always feels like a fresh start as the seasons change and with that comes new energy, new opportunities, and new goals. All good things, right? So in the spirit of new beginnings, today I’m sharing a little tour of our living room, all cozied up for fall. Enjoy!
You can’t decorate for fall without yummy candles. You just can’t. This one from Wildlust Wicks is my favorite right now. I love the copper vessel and this baby smells amazing even when it’s not burning!
I found these adorable pumpkins at Target in the dollar spot for 3 bucks each. Total bargain, right? Definitely get some if you haven’t already. But be warned, you might have to elbow some people out of the way to get one. These babies go fast.
I found all of my white pumpkins and lambs ear stems at Michael’s. I love this combo. Simple, but so purdy.
Last week I shared how I made this fall sign. It was super easy and quick–it’s seriously the easiest sign in the world. Check out the tutorial here.
I always get sooooo many questions about these baskets on the wall. I found them at Hobby Lobby less than a year ago, but I hear they don’t carry these exact ones anymore. Not cool, I know. But no worries! I’ve listed a few baskets at the end of the post that are very similar.
Well there it is my friends, our cozy farmhouse fall living room. I wanted to keep fall decor really simple this year, so I only bought a few new things and mostly used items I already had on hand from year’s past. Even though I love decorating our home for each new season, I really hate the idea of spending a ton of money on new decor only to change it out in a few months. So instead I try to invest in a few key things I know I’ll love and use for a long time and then mostly stick to what I already have out. I hope you enjoyed this post! As always let me know if you have any questions. And thank you so much for stopping by. This really is my happy place and I hope it can be that for you too. I’m always so grateful to each of you for taking time out of your day to drop in and see what I’m up to. You’re awesome. xoxo

I’m so glad you caved so you could give us all some beautiful inspiration!
There comes a time when ya just can’t fight it anymore. Love what you did and you make it look so easy and simple, and yet just perfect and inviting. Thanks for the motivation and inspiration!
Aw thanks Patty, I’m glad you enjoyed it. You are too kind!
Well, now I just have to decorate for fall now too after seeing what you have done. I was trying to resist, but you are just too inspiring…LOL. Did you make the pillow? It’s so cute.
Thank you Brenda! I didn’t make that pillow, I actually picked it up from Michaels last year.
Cute cute cute! – did you get the Target pumpkins just recently?
Sarah> Marilyn Soto
Yes I did! Just last week actually. Good luck snagging a few!
I love your coffee table (and all your decor, actually)! Where did you find it?
Thanks Jane, I actually got that coffee table from a local antique dealer. I wish I knew more about it, I haven’t seen one like it since.
Just wanted to let you know that Michaels Is having a big sale on pumpkins 60%. and 50% on autumn flowers and pick. I love how you have decorated your home for fall. I look forward to your posting about your ideas you come up with. Thanks you.
Thanks for the info Jonita! I have to be honest, I was there yesterday picking up a few pumpkins on sale, but I may be going back for more. Can’t beat $5 pumpkins!
Looks great as usual. I have not caved yet because its still hot here in Pa but this weekend is supposed to get cooler…finally!
Sarah> Linda Farrell
Thank you Linda! Hopefully cooler weather comes your way soon so you can cozy up your home for fall.
Love everything. Fall is such a wonderful season. Enjoy and thanks for sharing. ????
Sarah> Doreen Sulfaro
Thanks my friend!
I’m new to your blog and really enjoy it! Your home looks great! Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh and where did you get your rug?? I love it! Is it wool or synthetic! I’m trying to find synthetic because the wool shed so much! Thank you in advance.
Thanks Tracey, I’m glad you found my blog! The rug is from Target, it’s synthetic and super soft. I don’t believe they carry this exact one anymore, but you can find very similar ones in this post: https://sarahjoyblog.com/transitioning-farmhouse-decor-budget-friendly-shopping-guide/
Love your room it’s so welcoming and I love the simplicity of the fall decor. Where did you get your couch from?
Thanks Jan! It’s from Lazy Boy Furniture.
I love the cottage/farm look you achieved. Do you know what brand and color the yellow paint you chose is?
Thank you! The color is Autumn Blonde by Sherwin Williams.
I love your cozy home and your fall decor! Can you tell me where you got your matching arm chairs? I have been looking for months now and those are very similar to what I am hoping to get for our family room.
Thank you so much! So glad I found you!
Thank you so much Sally! Those chairs are from http://www.afwonline.com. Good luck and thanks for reading!
Did you paint the coffee table? I have a vintage one I picked up that I want to paint just like yours. Love your room!
Thanks Nadyne! When I bought the coffee table it was already painted like that, but you can definitely get a similar look yourself. The paint color is a soft grey and the wood legs and side details are white with a bit of distressing. Good luck with yours!
Wow, the most beautiful living room I ever did see! 🙂
