I finally got around to decorating for Christmas in the basement family room and I’m excited to share it with you today! We also just finished the shiplap on the back wall–it still needs to be painted, but I’m putting that off til January because mama doesn’t have the energy to take that on right now!
It always amazes me how shiplap, or any wall treatment for that matter, can totally change the vibe of a space. We originally planned to do shiplap down here when we finished the basement, but we ended up skipping on that at the time to save money. So glad we could do it now!
Several of the throw pillows here are from Walmart (I have this one HERE and HERE). I also have three of these cozy sherpa throw blankets, which are less than $15 each. Highly recommend if you need to stock up on warm blankets for winter. And the shipping was super fast too!
This is the perfect room to snuggle up and watch Christmas movies for hours and hours, which is exactly what I plan to do once the kids are out of school for the holiday break. Can’t wait!!
Thanks for hanging out with me today on the blog. Hope you’re enjoying the holiday season. xoxo
