Bright + Cheerful Dining Room Decor

Well hellllllllo there and happy Tuesday to you. I’m up and going early today–currently waiting on my coffee to brew and looking out our back door at SNOW. Yes, you read that right. SNOW. On May 11th. It’s 30 degrees and snowing. What kind of cruel world is this? It’s actually day three of yet another cold front and at this point I’m just trying to talk myself out of selling everything and moving to the beach. I’m also crossing my fingers and hoping our new sod survives this snow. Anyway, enough about my nonsense, I’m determined to enjoy the day regardless of this silly weather! Ok, let’s jump into today’s post. I have a bright and happy dining room to share with you today!

I’ve been craving ALL THE COLOR lately. I need it in my life right now. So I ordered these colorful serving bowls from Walmart (they’re part of the Pioneer Woman collection) and I also got that set of small bowls to go along with them. I thought they’d be perfect for ice cream this summer!

These beautiful purple glasses are also from the Pioneer Woman collection. They come in a set of four for $16! I love how they look with this farmhouse tray.

I don’t have any yellow pillows, so when I saw these for $14 I thought they’d be perfect to add a bit of sunshine to this space. They come in other colors too, but this yellow just makes me happy.

I love changing things up in our dining room and I have to say, all these bright and happy colors are making me so happy on a gloomy day. Now we’re ready for summer, we just gotta wait on Mother Nature to get her act together. Hopefully sooooooon!

If you’re looking for some sunshine inspired decor for your home, check out Walmart’s new summer decor here. They have tons of super cute decor and furniture out right now! And most things come with free two day delivery over $35.

I am putting up shiplap in my house (single mom restarting her life and you have inspired me to create a space I LOVE). What color did you paint your shiplap and what finish did you use?

One would never know it is snowing there because your dining room is totally spring!! Looks great!
We in New England call spring snow ‘poor man’s fertilizer!’ It may just help that new sod.
    Have a great day!

Oh Sarah, you make everything look so good. I love the bright colors in the dining room. And your landscaping looks great. How did you handle all that mud, before, with 3 small kids and very light furnishings? You’re a brave woman. lol

I hadn’t been inside a Walmart in months. I was pleasantly surprised at the decor items that were in stock. I left with a tray and a clock that I didn’t know I needed. Love these pops of color against your neutral background.

I have a yellow quilt on my bed and a yellow, pink, and green scheme in the bedroom. I think the yellow is cheerful, and I always want to see more yellow and pink in rooms because I think the two colors get the childhood connotation and only are in kids’ rooms sometimes, as far as people I know at least, in shying away from both colors. I like to see the grown up use of yellow and pink, too. 🙂 I live in a small cottage style rancher, and little pops of color like you are doing work so well if I can hit the right note. You hit the right note so much for your home. 😁

I am so into neutrals, you know, black, white, gray etc. But I love all the Pioneer women stuff you have from Walmart. I just may have to go that route for awhile. I love your home, and love Colorado. I have been in Florida 17 years, and miss our trips out West. So funny, because you wish you were by the beach LOL Keep up the good work-oh yes, laundry room next for you!!!
