A Simple Vintage Entryway for Spring
I’m so pumped for today’s post I feel like I can’t even sort out what to say right now other than OMG COME LOOK WHAT I FOUND YOU GUYS! And yes, all caps is definitely necessary because holy jalapeño I am excited. So this past weekend I was out at one of my favorite antique shops in all the land. I was in the area so I figured why not drop by for a quick look, not really planning to buy anything. I made a loop around the store and was actually preparing to leave when it happened. I spotted the cutest, minty green ladder in the entire world. I was in love the second I laid eyes on it. And I knew exactly where I wanted to put it and the look I wanted to create: a simple vintage entryway with loads of faux greenery and flowers. I planned on waiting to share this post until next week, but since patience has never really been my strong suit let’s do it today!
I mean, really. Have you ever seen such a cute ladder? I don’t know what it is about this thing that has me so smitten, but I absolutely adore it. Maybe it’s the minty green color that is so perfect for spring. Or all the scuffs, scratches, and those worn-out steps that add so much character and charm. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is, but it sure does make my vintage loving heart skip a beat.
I can’t help but smile every time I walk by this cheery little spot. And as crazy as it sounds, I think this minty green ladder may be one of my favorite finds ever. I know, you’re probably thinking “it’s just a ladder Sarah, get over it” but it’s finds like this one that renew my love and passion for vintage. There’s just so much character and charm in this ladder that can’t be reproduced or found in the mall. Vintage is real. And authentic. And unique. And despite the fact that this ladder isn’t something most people would use to decorate with, I see so much beauty and potential. I can’t help but be giddy with excitement, even though it is just an old step ladder.
Thank you so, so, so much for dropping by today. I am beyond grateful for each one of you that comes by the blog for a daily visit and chat, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Reading this a few days late, but it is super cute! So springy and cheerful! Love when I find something that is love at first sight, and even better that you knew exactly where you wanted to put it. I have a step ladder like it that I put on my small front porch during the warmer months for pots and whatnot 🙂

This is all so cute! Could you tell me about your hearth? I like the cushion and pillows in front. This is what I want to do with mine in the warmer months. What is on the inside of the fireplace? Did you leave logs?
Sarah
> LindaThanks so much Linda! And yep, I just keep logs in the fireplace. Or sometimes I’ll do something like a big basket with decor or spindles inside.
