Happy Tuesday you fabulous people! So it’s a fun day here on the blog because today I’m teaming up with my friends over at 31 Bits to help spread the word about their brand new home decor collection that launches TODAY! Have you guys heard of this amazing company? They’re mission is to create positive change in the world by providing artisans in places like Uganda with dignified jobs and fair wages. They’ve been widely known for their beautiful jewelry and fashion line, but now they’re branching into home decor. How amazing is that?! I’ve been a huge fan of their work for several years now, I actually first discovered them after my trip to Uganda (you can read more about that here) and I instantly fell in love with their approach to creating real change in the world. So when they reached out to me about their new home collection I was thrilled to be a part of it. They were kind enough to send over a few of the items for me to try out and I’m excited to share them with you guys today in this rustic brunch tablescape!
Everything in the new home line from 31 Bits has been crafted by artisans in Indonesia and Uganda. These woven placemats are probably my favorite thing from the entire collection. How stinkin’ cool are these?! I just love how they add warmth and a rustic element to the table. And knowing that they were hand woven by one of the talented artisans with 31 Bits is pretty awesome.
This gorgeous teak wood cutting board is also from the new 31 Bits home goods collection and I gotta say–I’m kind of obsessed with this thing. I’ve had it a few weeks now and I’ve really enjoyed using it. It’s very well made and I love that it’s so full of character. It definitely make a statement, yet it’s really practical and functional at the same time. You guys know how I feel about cute and functional kitchen decor. It’s a win-win!
I had a lot of fun putting this rustic tablescape together in our breakfast nook. It’s just so cool to use pieces like the woven placemats and the teak cutting board and know that they were handmade by one of the talented artisans working with 31 Bits. I love the idea that a beautiful piece of decor can actually have such a positive impact in the world. That’s pretty awesome stuff if you ask me. Well I hope you’ll check out the new home goods collection from 31 Bits today and support this incredible company. They’re doing amazing work to make this world a better place.
Thanks so much for dropping in and spending part of your day with me!
