Vintage Dresser and a Pretty Spring Vignette

Well I’m fresh off the plane from Waco, sitting in my cozy bed as I edit this post, and feeling so incredibly grateful that I got to visit Magnolia Market this weekend. What a crazy 48 hours it has been! If you were following along on Instagram or Facebook you saw a few snippets of my trip, but goodness gracious that place is was awesome. I can’t wait to chat all about it later this week, but today I have a vintage dresser and a pretty spring vignette to share with you. And I’m going to warn you all right now, I went a little crazy with flowers last week. You see, I was at the grocery store just minding my own business. Not looking to buy anything but the essentials, completely focused the task at hand. And then it happened. I stumbled on the most gorgeous display of spring flowers. They were so bright and happy, I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by their beauty. Then the really good part–I saw that infamous yellow sticker. You know the one I’m talking about. The CLEARANCE sticker. Yep, I hit the mother-load my friends. All these beautiful flowers were marked down to just a few bucks for each bundle. They weren’t even wilted or ugly yet. Apparently it was some kind of flower bonus day or something magical like that. I don’t know, I didn’t ask questions. But I had no choice other than to take several bundles home. And then style them in a very pretty spring vignette for your viewing pleasure!

I styled this with an old wooden fruit crate, two small shutters in the back, and tons of fresh flowers. I also added in a few old books, painted terra cotta pots, and faux greenery on the sides just to balance it out a bit. Then I pulled the top drawer of this vintage dresser out and used it to display even more faux greenery and this rustic simplify sign. I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like spring is all about simplifying. It’s a fresh start and the chance to begin anew, both in our homes and personally as well. This sign is just perfect for spring. I wish I had a source for you, but it’s an old sign that’s been around for a long time. It would definitely make an easy peasy DIY project!

Of course I had to add a little spring cheer to my vintage postbox.

I’m soooooo happy it’s March now and I can officially decorate for spring without feeling like a crazy person. Bring on all the flowers and happy things! I just love this time of year, it’s a season of new life and new beginnings. Flowers will soon be blooming, the grass will start to turn green, and it’s all a reminder of the hope we have in Him. I’m so thankful for all that spring represents and I hope you feel that too. And I have to say, I’m now committed to buying fresh flowers on a more regular basis after seeing how these beauties made this entire room come to life. I guess I never realized how much I love having loads of fresh flowers in the house. Hopefully I come across another one of those magical flower days at the grocery store real soon!

Welcome!! Happy to have you here. I started this blog in 2015 and since then it's been my happy place to share my love of home, easy decorating ideas, comfy outfits, and chats about Jesus.

Hi Kim! All the faux greenery and the terra-cotta pots are from Michael’s, I just painted them white–I actually have a project coming up with them soon. And the fresh flowers are from King Soopers!

That just puts a smile on my face and I need it today! My dad is in the hospital and not doing well at all. He is up in Michigan and I am in Georgia, so hoping to go up there soon. Thank the Lord I have several siblings to take care of my parents. I may need to go to the store today and get myself some pretty flowers. The vignette is lovely, as usual!
