The Wood Floors Are Done!
I can’t believe how much work has been done at the new house in just a week’s time!! Literally, in a matter of days this place feels like a totally different place. The wood floors were installed this week and they look SO.GOOD. They’re about 85% done at this point, so I wanted to share a few photos so you can see how things are coming along. This floor is exactly what I envisioned in this space from the first time I walked through the front door. I wanted a light, airy feel and that’s exactly what I got with this hardwood!! Here’s how it looked before:

Such a huge change, right?! I can’t get over the difference. The whole place feels brighter and so much bigger. And if you followed along as I was searching for the perfect floor, you know I looked all over for WEEKS before finding this floor at Home Depot of all places. This is the French Oak Point Reyes solid hardwood floor.
We’re still a little ways off from moving in, but things are coming along quickly. Can’t wait to share more updates. I want to share the basement soon too–all the framing is done and it looks so good! More to come. xo
